Iran attempted to overwhelm Israeli defenses on Saturday, sending a barrage of ballistic missiles aimed at the port city of Haifa and, according to The Times of Israel, killing three civilians and wounding at least seven others.
Earlier in the day, Iranian media reported attacks near Tehran and near Mehrabad International Airport, while Israeli officials reported attacks over Tel Aviv and in the central part of the country. When the Saturday evening attacks began, Home Front Command sent phone alerts to residents directing them to seek shelter. One of the Iranian missiles, the Times reported, struck a two story home in the city of Tamra — northeast of Haifa — killing three people.
The all-clear was reported around 11:45 p.m. local time, but officials warned that more attacks were expected.
Photos and video of the ballistic missiles — some of which made it past Israel&#8217;s missile defenses — began to circulate on X shortly after the attack.

Hundreds of activists attempting to march into Gaza this week in an attention-seeking, anti-Israel stunt were arrested and deported by Egpytian authorities before they made it to Gaza.
Around 200 activists from 80 countries were detained by Egyptian authorities on Thursday, according to one of the activists organizing the march, the Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/egypt-gaza-activists-march-blocked-rafah-sinai-917954d224c95b12f2550f5bde7f92af">reported</a>. Most of those arrested and deported were Algerians and Moroccans, while some were from the United States, Australia, Netherlands, France, and Spain. On Friday, dozens more anti-Israel activists were detained or deported as authorities stopped vehicles along the Sinai Peninsula, which leads to Rafah, according to <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/egypt-deports-dozens-more-foreign-nationals-heading-march-gaza-2025-06-13/">Reuters</a>.
Israel warned on Wednesday that the march posed a threat to regional security and instructed its military to prevent any demonstrators from entering Gaza, The Times of Israel <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/egyptian-authorities-detain-hundreds-of-activists-planning-march-to-gaza/">reported</a>. Libya urged demonstrators to “engage in proper coordination with the official Libyan authorities through legal and diplomatic channels to ensure the safety of all participants and uphold the principles of solidarity with the Palestinian people.”

After Israel wiped out much of Hamas&#8217; leadership and took control of Gaza, the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) began handing out food and aid to people who remain in the Gaza Strip. Iran struck Tel Aviv multiple times on Friday night in its three missile barrages, which resulted in damage to buildings and one confirmed death along with dozens of injuries.
Iran’s attack on the densely populated Israeli city comes after a senior security official told Israel’s Channel 12 that it would target Iran’s leaders and state infrastructure such as oil refineries if population centers were struck. So far, Israel’s attacks on Iran have primarily targeted nuclear and weapons sites, as well as locations with top military generals or nuclear scientists present.
Iran’s first two barrages resulted in over 30 injuries, ranging from minor to fatal. The impact of the third barrage remains unclear as search and rescue teams continue operations at the sites where projectiles landed.

But the imagery of a lion rising may also have tremendous significance for the people of Iran — the flag of Iran for four centuries before the Islamic regime took over in 1979 was a lion with the sun rising on the stripes of green, white, and red. The Islamic regime replaced the lion with a stylized version of Allah and the phrase “Allahu Akbar” along the edges of the green and red stripes.

The lion and sun flag is still used by some Iranians as a symbol of opposition to the current government. In 1980, after adopting the Islamic flag, the regime made it a punishable offense to use the lion and sun flag.

In 2009, a movement arose in Iran to rid the country of the Islamic regime. Called the “Green Movement,” reports said scores of protesters were killed by the regime. Then-President Obama refused to help the protesters. “Behind the scenes, Obama overruled advisers who wanted to do what America had done at similar transitions from dictatorship to democracy, and signal America&#8217;s support,” Eli Lake <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2016-08-24/why-obama-let-iran-s-green-revolution-fail">recalled</a>. According to Wall Street Journal reporter Jay Solomon, author of “The Iran Wars,” Obama ordered the CIA to sever contacts it had with supporters of the movement.

One person is confirmed to have survived the crash of an Air India passenger jet that claimed the lives of over 240 people on board.
Air India confirmed the survivor’s status, according to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/06/12/world/india-plane-crash-ahmedabad/india-plane-crash-ahmedabad?smid=url-share">The New York Times</a>. Viswash Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old British national of Indian origin, was on board the flight returning to the United Kingdom after visiting family in India. A brother of Ramesh was also on board the flight.
Ramesh was sitting near an emergency exit on the plane in seat 11A. He managed to get out of the plane via the exit and was placed in an ambulance by emergency personnel, according to police.
Video appeared to catch a bloody Ramesh limping away from the crash site, according to the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/india-plane-crash-ahmedabad-994f2876cc699465cecd23b3facd1a47">Associated Press</a>.
“As soon as the flight took off, within 30 seconds it crashed. There was no warning from the pilot or the crew members about the crash. When I found myself alive after the crash, I saw bodies ripped apart,” Ramesh told the <a href="https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/dreamliner-disaster-101749755485015.html">Hindustan Times</a>. “My leg was injured but I ran as fast as I could.”
Ajay Valgi, Ramesh’s cousin, said that Ramesh called his family after the crash to tell them that he was “fine.” Valgi added that he does not know what happened to Ramesh’s brother, according to the <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/clyzepxnd41o">BBC</a>.
The plane was a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and was headed to Gatwick Airport in Britain after taking off from an airport in Ahmedabad.

Most of the 242 passengers and staff on board the flight were Indian. Fifty-three were British citizens and eight others hailed from Portugal and Canada. Eleven of the passengers were children.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a statement: “The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with everyone affected by it. Have been in touch with Ministers and authorities who are working to assist those affected.”
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the British foreign office is investigating the crash alongside Indian authorities.
“The images and news from India is absolutely devastating, and I speak for the entire country saying our thoughts are with each and every one of those involved. There will be British and Indian families across the land who are absolutely impacted by this, and our thoughts first and foremost are with them,” Starmer said.

Special Envoy Steve Witkoff is still planning on meeting with Iranian officials for the sixth round of nuclear talks on Sunday in Oman despite some U.S. personnel moving out of the Middle East amid rising tensions with Iran.
“Senior Advisor and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff plans to travel to Muscat on Sunday for a sixth round of talks with Iran,” a source familiar with the talks told The Daily Wire. “Discussions are expected to be both direct and indirect, as in previous rounds.”
The news comes as all United States embassies within striking distance of Iran were instructed to convene emergency action committees and to develop measures to mitigate risks, <a href="https://archive.is/O2oXf">The Washington Post reported</a>.
The U.S. is also reducing its personnel at its Iraq missions in Baghdad and Erbil and reportedly permitting non-essential personnel and dependents to leave other countries in the region, such as Bahrain and Kuwait.

The personnel reduction comes after Iran’s Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/iran-threatens-us-bases-region-if-military-conflict-arises-2025-06-11/">threatened to strike</a> American bases if nuclear negotiations fail and conflict arises.
“All U.S. bases are within our reach and we will boldly target them in host countries,” Nasirzadeh said during a press briefing.
A State Department official confirmed to The Daily Wire that it is reducing its “footprint” at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
“President Trump is committed to keeping Americans safe, both at home and abroad,” the official said. “In keeping with that commitment, we are constantly assessing the appropriate personnel posture at all our embassies. Based on our latest analysis, we decided to reduce the footprint of our Mission in Iraq.”

The resolution declaring Iran in violation was submitted by the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany, and passed with support from 19 countries. Eleven nations abstained, while only Russia, China, and Burkina Faso voted against it, according to <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/china/iaea-board-declares-iran-breach-non-proliferation-duties-diplomats-say-2025-06-12/">Reuters</a>.
<a href="https://www.securitycouncilreport.org/whatsinblue/2025/03/iran-non-proliferation-private-meeting.php#:~:text=In%20its%20most%20recent%20quarterly,significantly%20during%20the%20reporting%20period%2C">A February report</a> from the International Atomic Energy Agency found that Iran’s uranium stockpile is enriched to 60 percent purity — close to the 90 percent level considered weapon-grade. The total enriched uranium stockpile now stands at approximately 8,294 kilograms, vastly exceeding the deal’s cap of 300 kilograms.
Iran can currently produce enough weapons-grade fissile material to make a nuclear weapon in a week or two, former Secretary of State Antony Blinken <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/blinken-iran-one-two-weeks-away-from-producing-enough-material-for-nuclear-weapon/">revealed</a> in July 2024, adding that Iran had not yet produced a weapon to utilize the material.
Trump has expressed his preference to resolve Iran’s nuclear challenges with diplomacy, but has threatened military force if a deal cannot be made.
In March, during an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-iran-was-told-to-accept-nuclear-deal-or-face-u-s-military">Trump said</a> Iran can be handled militarily or through negotiating a deal.

Tino has over 400,000 followers on TikTok and 15.8 million likes on his posts.
Lately, the activist has been <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@lillytino_/video/7514325434583076139?lang=en">ranting</a> about how “trans men” shouldn’t be criticized for taking photos of themselves in the women’s restroom because celebrities do it all the time. But commenters pointed out that many of the influencer photos Tino refers to only show one person, whereas his photos from the bathroom include people in the background who are having their rights violated.

“This man’s bathroom photos are trophies. He wants women and girls in the background because it proves he’s violating women’s boundaries. Without actual females there as props all he’s got is a selfie of a scary-looking creep in mouse ears, which isn’t remotely what he’s after,” Rowling wrote in response to a post about Tino taking bathroom selfies at Disney.
She also responded to followers who called her out for giving him attention.
“He&#8217;s getting publicity for being a gigantic male creep who takes pictures of women and girls in what should be protected spaces. Now men will know exactly who to be on the watch for in Disneyland, while waiting for their female partners and daughters. I&#8217;d call that a win,” the billionaire British author added in a follow-up post.

“He has zero interest in a greater cause. He&#8217;s using &#8216;activism&#8217; as a fig leaf and a free pass for what excites him, as is the case with a load of these men. If it gives him a sexual kick he&#8217;ll keep doing it until he&#8217;s stopped,” Rowling wrote.
Rowling&#8217;s comments were in response to a post about some of the bathroom selfies Tino has been sharing with followers.
“Lilly Tino, a man who presents as a woman, has come out in defense of a series of selfies he took inside a women’s restroom at Disney World, after facing backlash from both LGBTQ+ and heterosexual communities,” the <a href="https://x.com/ImMeme0/status/1932463761312330079">original post</a> says. 
“Tino justifies his actions by comparing himself to celebrities who have previously taken photos in women’s restrooms. However, he conveniently omits that his images captured women and young girls in the background without their consent—an act that constitutes a violation of Florida’s privacy and voyeurism laws.”
The original post said there’s a “growing petition” to have Tino banned from TikTok.
