After Lone Star State Attorney General Ken Paxton clobbered incumbent John Cornyn in a high-stakes GOP senatorial primary, the Dems eagerly posted a photo of their own nominee, James Talarico, declaring on X: “Fired up. Ready to go. It’s time to take back Texas.”

Rather than offering a clever political retort, the official, blue-checked Democrats account completely unraveled, <a href="https://x.com/TheDemocrats/status/2059685644041892078">firing back</a> with a shockingly vulgar, schoolyard insult: “Shut up, you ugly f*ck.”
Talarico’s actual record in Texas is raising plenty of eyebrows. He’s already been dubbed “Six-Gender Jimmy” and “James Tala-freak-o,” and a look into Talarico&#8217;s platform shows a politician deeply obsessed with radical gender ideology.
The Democrat nominee’s spiritual home, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin, behaves more like a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-book-is-gay-read-the-sexually-explicit-volumes-james-talaricos-church-gives-kids">woke indoctrination camp</a> than a house of worship. The church library proudly boasts a collection of &#8220;banned books&#8221; available to children that would make a sailor blush. The book collection includes &#8220;Gender Queer&#8221; and &#8220;All Boys Aren&#8217;t Blue,&#8221; which feature graphic descriptions and illustrations of anal rape, incest, and oral sex.
The church even hosts trainings linked to the anti-Trump “No Kings” protest movement and bills itself as a “Reproductive Freedom Congregation” where “abortion is a blessing.” Talarico himself has taken to the pulpit there, once delivered a sermon asserting that “our trans community needs abortion care too.”
Talarico&#8217;s sympathy for the transgender movement isn&#8217;t just a church hobby; it&#8217;s his legislative identity. An unearthed podcast clip revealed Talarico proclaiming that, outside of family and friends, the thing he loves most in the world is “trans children.”
On the legislative floor, Talarico has consistently gone to bat for the most extreme wings of the trans movement. He voted against protecting children from irreversible transgender surgeries and cross-sex hormones. He fought fiercely against keeping biological men out of women’s sports. Even more radical, Talarico publicly argued that parents who refuse to “affirm” a child’s sudden gender confusion are guilty of being “abusive” and “destructive.”
To top off his bizarre theology, the lawmaker has argued in committee hearings that modern science recognizes “six biological sexes” and has claimed that “God is non-binary” and Jesus was a “radical feminist.”
With the Democrats melting down into profane tantrums online and their candidate pushing extreme gender theories in a state Donald Trump won by 14 points, Texas Republicans are smelling victory.
If the Dems keep up the X-rated rhetoric, &#8220;taking back Texas&#8221; is going to remain a pipe dream.

That funding went to modernizing nuclear forces and missile defenses, upgrading cyber defenses, and advanced missile defense capabilities and regional alliances.

The strength of the United States military is known worldwide, with world leaders praising it as well. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte <a href="https://apnews.com/article/nato-europe-us-nuclear-trump-defense-security-c1575be708cbd813f1c7d97c87628ff6">told</a> EU lawmakers, “If anyone thinks here … that the European Union or Europe as a whole can defend itself without the U.S., keep on dreaming.”
President Trump said he did the world a favor by targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. “They were very close to a nuclear weapon. They would have had one if we didn’t do our B2 hit, Midnight Hammer. They would have had it eight months ago. They would have had a nuclear weapon and they’re crazy and they would have used it.”
When asked to rate the success of Operation Midnight Hammer on a scale from 1-10, the president responded, “About a fifteen, I would say—with ten being the best.” He added, “There’s no military on earth like it, not even close. We are doing very well in Iran. You see the result. It’s been amazing.”
The U.S. Central Command revealed on Friday that U.S. forces struck over <a href="https://x.com/CENTCOM/status/2030118409883541979">3,000</a> targets in the first week of Operation Epic Fury. The military is targeting Iranian command and control centers, ballistic missile sites, Navy ships and submarines, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) joint headquarters.
&#8220;They’re just bad people. When you look at October 7 and beyond October 7, look at all the killing that they’ve done. Over the years, for 47 years. And this had to be done,&#8221; the president said.

Miller’s remarks serve as a sharp course correction from the previous years of &#8220;woke&#8221; indoctrination that plagued the Pentagon under the Biden administration—a period defined by top brass who seemed more interested in pronoun etiquette than lethality and victory.
Miller drew a hard line in the sand regarding Iran, a regime he noted has waged war against Americans for 47 years. From the 1979 embassy hostage crisis to the 1983 bombing of the Marines in Beirut, and the murder of the CIA station chief, Miller emphasized that the era of American retreat is over.
&#8220;America First means America will be the greatest, most unquestioned, unmatched power in the world,&#8221; Miller asserted. &#8220;And it means we will defend American lives. And yes, we will avenge American blood.&#8221;

Under the previous guard, the military was bogged down by whistleblower reports of mandatory training on &#8220;white privilege&#8221; and &#8220;systemic racism,&#8221; Air Force instruction telling cadets to avoid gendered terms like &#8220;Mom&#8221; and &#8220;Dad&#8221; in favor of &#8220;caregiver,&#8221; and &#8220;Privilege walks&#8221; that forced service members to separate themselves by race and gender.
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-cotton-reveals-military-whistleblower-complaints-on-woke-training-bidens-secdef-insists-diversity-equity-and-inclusion-is-important-to-this-military?utm_source=chatgpt.com">previously warned</a> that this &#8220;anti-American indoctrination&#8221; led to plummeting morale and a wave of separations from service members who signed up to fight enemies, not participate in race-based stratification.

Right now, the moment either the Democratic Party or the GOP senses momentum, they put the pedal to the metal, and then proceed to overreach so dramatically that the American people are repulsed and react in disgust to that agenda.
Democratic politicians are being driven by a media and celebrity culture that has decided that what’s going on with ICE is the new, gigantic outrage of the day, and therefore everyone must speak out. They have decided this is their new civil rights moment.
The Democratic base is constantly in search of an animating principle, and the animating principle is supposed to be a pale knockoff of the civil rights movement of the 60s. They’ve done it with gay rights, transgenderism, and now with illegal immigration. “The jackbooted thugs, they&#8217;re enforcing laws that are discriminating against wide classes of people,&#8221; Democrats still argue. 
They&#8217;re always looking for their chance to do a Selma bridge moment. The problem for them is that those moments are rare because — thank God in America — that sort of stuff has been outré for half a century.
In terms of generic public policy, every country has to enforce its border, and every country has to make sure that illegal immigrants are deported. There&#8217;s nothing new about that.
But Democrats, and particularly radical activist class Democrats, are always looking for their new moment to be involved in a civil rights movement. The minute they see anything even remotely resembling that moment, they go for it whole-scale.

This is how you end up with Scott Galloway suggesting the Democrats should conduct Nuremberg trials against the Trump administration. He stated, “I think there should be something equivalent to the Nuremberg Trials after this is all over. And to make it clear that once we’re back in power, which we will be, this is going to happen.”
This sort of language is not helpful. Kara Swisher, on the same podcast, suggested that Stephen Miller has blood on his hands and should be put in jail. She also compared Miller to arch-Nazi Heinrich Himmler, saying, “We always focus on Trump, as we often focus on the top people. But Stephen Miller, like a man named Bendetsen, he was the one who created the internment camps for Japanese, Heinrich Himmler in the Nazi regime, this is what he is.”
Comparing Stephen Miller to Heinrich Himmler is an astonishing leap.
In addition, we have the entire celebrity class, who, of course, have now been reanimated. They found their new cause.
One year ago, they were wearing Hamas pins at the Oscars. This year, presumably, it will all be about ICE.
Katy Perry, who is now dating Justin Trudeau, the Bernie Sanders of the north, ventilated on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DT_FY_8Dbox/">Instagram</a>, “Who: You, the power is in your hands. What: Call your senators. When: Now. We have until Friday, January 30th to block $10 billion (on top of the $75b that’s already been funded) from going through to ICE.” Then she put up a phone number because she feels it&#8217;s time to turn anger into action.
I&#8217;m not sure why we should treat the musings of celebrities as particularly important, but they clearly think their musings are.
Natalie Portman <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DT6WzUgDjBK/?hl=en">suggested</a> that she&#8217;s never been sadder to be an American. “I could not be prouder to be American right now by the way the Americans are acting,” she bloviated. “And I could not be sadder to be American right now with the way the government is behaving.”
Last I checked, Portman has been living in Paris with her children since she moved there in 2014. She even chose to stay there after she and her husband — who had taken a position with the Paris Opera Ballet — got divorced in 2024.
Olivia Wilde <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/olivia-wilde-natalie-portman-criticize-161351146.html">suggested</a> that ICE is a criminal organization, saying, “We can’t go another day accepting this as our new norm. It’s outrageous. People are being murdered, and I don’t want to normalize seeing that violence—on the internet or on film. It’s hideous. If we can do anything to support the movement to cast ICE out and delegitimize this criminal organization, then that’s what we should be doing.”
The musings of actors mean very little, but they do mean a lot in Democratic upper-echelon circles. When the celebrity class speaks with one voice, the people who tend to listen are the people they go to cocktail parties with: Democratic front-runners. That could be people like Wes Moore in Maryland, or Josh Shapiro in Pennsylvania, or Gavin Newsom in California.
And then there was Ethan Hawke, who is currently nominated for best actor for a movie called “Blue Moon.” <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUBn4hUEisy/">He said</a>, “I never felt scared about what I was going to say until the last couple years. Where I feel like ‘Oh, you have to be careful. Or, or what? I don’t know, but there’s a kind of fear in the air that I’ve never felt before — and it’s not America. To get to be an artist in a free country, I’ve had enough of an education to know what a privilege that is. And, um, I don’t feel that way anymore.”
He doesn’t feel that way anymore? The hell he doesn’t. He’s out there making movies all the time.
There&#8217;s “fear in the air”? There’s this evanescent fear in the air?
Ethan Hawke is not walking around in fear.
My favorite thing about modern America is when people who have all the rights and privileges of being a modern American suggest that they are living in deep fear when they clearly are not. For God’s sake, he&#8217;s speaking into a microphone on camera.
You know what? People in totalitarian regimes don&#8217;t do that thing because they know what comes next — and it ain&#8217;t good.

The newest “Star Trek” series is apparently so awful that it got the original Captain Kirk to see eye-to-eye with one of President Donald Trump’s closest advisers.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff and Homeland Security adviser Stephen Miller responded to a brief clip of the new Paramount+ series &#8220;Star Trek: Starfleet Academy&#8221; in an X post, arguing that the only way for producers to save the show would be to give full creative control to actor William Shatner.
&#8220;Tragic. But it’s not too late for @paramountplus to save the franchise,&#8221; Miller said. &#8220;Step 1: Reconcile with @WilliamShatner and give him total creative control.&#8221;
Shatner <a href="https://x.com/WilliamShatner/status/2013275829464383866">responded</a> several days later, saying, &#8220;I am so on the same page with you @StephenM&lt;! The fact that they have not [cured] Hyperopia by the 32rd Century is an abysmal oversight on the writers!&#8221;
&#8220;Also @paramountplus needs to up the budget because I’m sure that a well oiled organization like Starfleet in the distant future could afford more than one pair of glasses for at least this hyperopic bridge crew,&#8221; Shatner continued, adding, &#8220;Do they pass the glasses around while piloting the ship? Shame on the line producers! That is what you meant, right?&#8221;
&#8220;I am ready to assume command of the series! Call me!&#8221; he concluded.
Shatner was written out of the franchise in the 1994 film &#8220;Star Trek: Generations&#8221; – a move he&#8217;s said was made because producers wanted to move on to solely using the &#8220;Star Trek: The Next Generation&#8221; cast led by British actor Patrick Stewart&#8217;s Jean-Luc Picard.
Shatner said that he was told before filming began for &#8220;Generations&#8221; that Captain Kirk was going to die in the film whether he participated or not – and so he opted for an onscreen death that allowed him a heroic exit.
&#8220;So the producer said, &#8216;We&#8217;re going to kill Kirk because we think that The Next Generation will make more money at the box office,'&#8221; he explained.
Three more movies followed with &#8220;The Next Generation&#8221; cast, and the series has since rebooted with three more films, starring Chris Pine as Captain Kirk.

White House Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller fired back after a 60 Minutes correspondent accused CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss of yanking a story about the Trump administration’s deportation of hundreds of immigrants to CECOT for “political reasons.”
“This is another pathetic 60 Minutes hatchet job. They are trying to tell sob stories about Tren de Aragua gang members who drill holes in people’s hands, who rape and murder little girls?” Miller <a href="https://grabien.com/story?id=562966&amp;utm_source=cliplist&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=cliplist20251224&amp;utm_content=story562966">said</a>.
“You actually have somebody, from the outside, new, who’s trying to actually act like an adult over at 60 Minutes and say, ‘Hey, wait a minute, you failed to talk to the administration, you failed to put in any sort of context, whatsoever, for the story, and so she’s decided to pause the story and now there’s an open revolt at 60 Minutes,” Fox News host Charles Hurt said to Miller. “First of all, were you contacted at all about this package, and what do you make of all of it?”
“I don’t remember anybody reaching out to me,” Miller replied. “Of course, as you know people put things at the comms inboxes and general feedback comments, but I don’t remember getting anything.”
“But more fundamentally, this is another pathetic 60 Minutes hatchet job,” he continued. “They are trying to tell sob stories about Tren de Aragua gang members who drill holes in people’s hands, who rape and murder little girls? This is the gang who kidnapped, sexually assaulted and murdered Jocelyn Nungaray. Remember her? That precious 12-year-old girl from Texas who was taken from her mom and went through horrors none of us can imagine?”
“And you have these 60 Minute producers who are living in comfort and security in their West End condos trying to make us feel sympathetic for these monsters?” he asked rhetorically. “Have you seen the tattoos, the face tattoos, the body tattoos on these killers? Would one 60 Minutes producer or writer agree to spend 30 minutes — I’ll make a deal. We will pick one person at random that we sent to CECOT, just a random lottery drawing, and they will spend one day, overnight, in your apartment.”
“Who is taking that deal at 60 Minutes? Nobody, because they know that these are monsters who got exactly what they deserved,” he declared. “Because under President Trump, we are not going to let little girls get raped and murdered anymore. And every one of those producers at 60 Minutes engaged in this revolt, fire them. Clean house, fire them. That’s what I say, Charlie.”
“And yet, somehow, they’re the compassionate ones and you’re the mean ones. But we’re glad you&#8217;re the mean ones and getting the job done,” Hurt concluded.
“I held that story because it was not ready,” Weiss <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/22/business/media/cbs-news-bari-weiss-60-minutes.html">said</a>, adding that the story had been reported by other news organizations. “The public knows that Venezuelans have been subjected to horrific treatment in this prison.”

I realize we’ve emailed the DHS spox, but we need to push much harder to get these principals on the record.”
In her third point, Weiss criticized one of the angles of the “60 Minutes” segment, arguing that it focused too much on the illegal immigrants sent to CECOT who do not have criminal histories and not enough on the violent criminals who have been removed from America.
“The data we present paints an incongruent picture. Of the 252 Venezuelans sent to CECOT, we say nearly half have no criminal histories. In other words, more than half do have criminal histories. We should spend a beat explaining this,” Weiss said. “We then say that only 8 of the 252 have been sentenced in America for violent offenses. But what about charged? My point is that we should include as much as we can possibly know and understand about these individuals.”

Topline: The Supreme Court will soon decide the fate of birthright citizenship in what could be a historic court case brought on by the Trump administration.
On his first day back in office, President Donald Trump signed an executive order declaring that children born in the United States to illegal immigrants and other short-term visitors would no longer be considered American citizens.
That order was immediately challenged in multiple lower federal courts and subsequently put on hold. But on Friday, the White House got some major news: the Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case and will decide on the constitutionality of birthright citizenship. A ruling is expected by this summer.
Preview: The case will hinge on the court’s interpretation of the 14th Amendment, which reads: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”
Supporters of birthright citizenship say that sentence includes virtually everyone born on U.S. soil, but opponents say those born to illegal immigrants are not “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States, and thus are not Americans.

Essentially, the White House says birthright citizenship was originally a good-intentioned provision meant to extend citizenship to the children of former slaves after the Civil War.
But they argue it’s now been abused by millions of illegal immigrants and even tourists, who race across the border while pregnant to ensure their children will get citizenship. 
Lawyers for the White House argue that Trump’s executive order would simply “restore the clause’s original meaning.”

Topline: The Somali-linked welfare fraud scandal in Minnesota is now being tied to Democrat leaders in the state, drawing more attention from the Trump administration and Congress.
Catch up: Billions of tax dollars have been stolen in the state of Minnesota during the tenure of Democrat Gov. Tim Walz. City Journal reporting has uncovered that at least a billion dollars in welfare and social service schemes have largely been connected to the Somali community in Minnesota. Alarmingly, some of this money was allegedly <a href="https://www.city-journal.org/article/minnesota-welfare-fraud-somalia-al-shabaab" target="_blank" rel="noopener">funneled</a> to Somalia-based terrorist group Al-Shabaab.
How could it be worse? Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller says the welfare fraud scheme is far worse than the American people think, involving “complicit” state government officials and totaling more stolen money than initial early estimates stated.
“We believe we have only scratched the very top of the surface of how deep this goes,” <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/1997135207707615556?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1997135207707615556%7Ctwgr%5E79d8d486c99e2a14a41c75308117655867895db2%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailywire.com%2Fnews%2Fthe-somali-welfare-fraud-scandal-is-even-worse-than-you-think">said</a> Miller in an appearance on Fox News. “We believe the state government is fully complicit in this scheme, and we believe that what we are going to uncover is going to shock the American people.”
Miller also underscored the Somali ties to this fraud, connecting it to a larger conversation the nation is having about immigration from third-world countries.

Who knew what: Reporting from the New York Post has tied Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar to the scandal. Omar held parties at one of the key restaurants named, and she knew one of its owners, who is now convicted of stealing millions in funds. Additionally, one of her own staffers has been convicted of stealing millions. Omar even introduced the bill that led to $250 million in fraud.
“I just think that a lot of the COVID programs were set up so quickly that a lot of the guardrails did not get created,” Omar <a href="https://x.com/MarioNawfal/status/1996395142001864889?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1996395142001864889%7Ctwgr%5Edaf0b98b351595e957decab8d8baed2dec55e0db%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailywire.com%2Fnews%2Filhan-omar-says-trump-supporters-might-attack-somalis-brushes-off-fraud-scandal">told</a> CNN last week when asked about the fraud.
There have also been questions about Walz’s oversight. The Treasury Department is investigating this scandal, and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has announced a congressional investigation.

Topline: In a seismic shift for Hollywood, Netflix has struck an $83 billion deal to acquire Warner Brothers. The merger would potentially reshape the entertainment business for generations.
Announced just days ago, Netflix&#8217;s binding offer will give it not just Warner Bros the movie studio, but also streaming assets like HBO Max. And it&#8217;s gobbling up classics like Batman, Superman, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Looney Tunes, Friends, etc.
It’s being called one of the biggest, if not the biggest, mergers in Hollywood history. It comes after a bidding war that saw heavyweights like Paramount Skydance and Comcast get outmaneuvered or outspent by Netflix.
The Netflix angle: Netflix has been in a content arms race with Disney and Amazon. The Warner Bros. vault offers instant firepower.
Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos says it&#8217;ll “accelerate HBO Max growth” while blending Warner&#8217;s “theatrical expertise.” But many critics are concerned that this means Netflix will shorten theatrical windows and further decimate the moviegoing business.
That’s part of the reason many creatives hate this deal. During the bidding war, director James Cameron <a href="https://x.com/Todd_Spence/status/1996991743116591550?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that Netflix&#8217;s acquisition of Warner Bros would be “a disaster” for the industry.
Batman director Christopher Nolan is representing the Directors Guild in meetings with Netflix to express concerns. Both the East and West Writers’ Guilds issued a joint statement unequivocally opposing the sale and asking regulators to block it.
Could it be blocked? There are already rumbles in Washington that the Trump administration doesn’t like this merger.
And opposition is bipartisan. Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), chair of the antitrust subcommittee, said Netflix should “Buckle up for an intense antitrust hearing.” Meanwhile,  Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has called the merger an “anti-monopoly nightmare,” warning that it could lead to higher subscription prices and fewer choices for consumers.
There’s no question that because Netflix is already the largest global streamer, adding Warner Bros. content and HBO Max subscribers would give it extraordinary dominance–over a third of the streaming market.
Netflix, though, already seems to be trying to soothe customer jitters. It sent a message to subscribers on Saturday night, repeatedly assuring them that their plans, fees, content access, and the separate operations of both Netflix and HBO Max will not change.

WASHINGTON—The Federal Bureau of Investigation is &#8220;aware of multiple instances&#8221; of &#8220;No Kings&#8221; protestors explicitly calling for violence, The Daily Wire has learned.
The FBI does not historically confirm active investigations, typically waiting until charges are filed or an arrest is imminent. While FBI spokesman Ben Williamson said that he could not comment on the &#8220;existence of specific investigations,&#8221; the FBI is &#8220;committed to investigating and pursuing all those who threaten and perpetrate acts of violence.”
During the &#8220;No Kings&#8221; protests that took place over the weekend across the United States, independent journalists and conservative reporters captured viral video footage showing demonstrators explicitly threatening violence against President Donald Trump, Republicans, and top officials in the Trump administration. Many of these individuals referenced the death of Charlie Kirk.
The Bureau told The Daily Wire that it is “aware of multiple instances&#8221; of these individuals explicitly calling for acts of violence at the No Kings protests.
In Chicago, footage captured by Christopher Sweat depicts a man screaming into a bullhorn about how ICE agents should be killed.
&#8220;You gotta grab a gun, we gotta turn around the guns on this fascist system,&#8221; the man yells. &#8220;These ICE agents gotta get shot and wiped out. The same machinery that’s on full display right there has to get wiped out.&#8221;

Photos posted by the &#8220;Denver Communists&#8221; depict two individuals of ambiguous sex wearing shirts promoting violence. One shirt read: &#8220;Politicians don&#8217;t die like they used to,&#8221; featuring a figure with it&#8217;s head apparently blowing up, live, on camera. The &#8220;86 47&#8221; signs were  present at rallies all across the United States, including in the nation&#8217;s capitol, where Daily Wire reporters Amber Jo Cooper and Brecca Stoll also reported seeing &#8220;86 47&#8221; signs at &#8220;No Kings&#8221; protests in Washington, D.C.

The meme was also similar to an infamous 2019 cartoon published in The New York Times&#8217; international edition, which depicted a guide dog with the face of Benjamin Netanyahu — wearing a collar with a Star of David hanging from it — leading a blind, overweight Donald Trump, who was wearing dark glasses and a black yarmulke.

Newsom&#8217;s office has previously targeted Miller&#8217;s hard-line positions on immigration. In July, responding to a ruling from a Biden-appointed judge involving immigration enforcement in the Central District of California (Los Angeles area), Miller wrote on X: “The ruling has just been issued. A communist judge in LA has ordered ICE to report directly to her and radical left NGOs — not the president. This is another act of insurrection against the United States and its sovereign people.”

In June 2025, the federal government, via ICE and other agencies, started launching patrols in Los Angeles. On July 11, 2025, Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong <a href="https://kesq.com/news/california/2025/07/14/feds-seek-stay-of-la-judges-ruling-on-immigration-raids/">issued</a> a temporary restraining order barring federal agents from conducting detentions unless they had “reasonable suspicion” that the person was unlawfully present in the country. The Trump administration sought a stay of the order, which Frimpong denied, prompting the case to be taken up by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. On August 1, the court rejected the emergency motion to stay the order.

WASHINGTON—White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller grew emotional Monday as he spoke with Vice President JD Vance about their late friend, Charlie Kirk. Miller vowed to channel the anger and sadness he felt at Kirk’s assassination into dismantling the domestic terror movement in the United States, telling Vance: “It will happen, and we will do it in Charlie’s name.”
Miller joined Vance as the vice president hosted The Charlie Kirk Show in honor of the show’s namesake, who was killed by a shooter last week while speaking with college students in Utah. Miller shared that in the last message Kirk sent him, the day before he was killed, the TPUSA founder urged Miller to implement an “organized strategy to go after the left-wing organizations that are promoting violence in this country.”
Miller did not specify what Kirk was specifically addressing. But his comment came about two weeks after a trans-identifying shooter <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/vance-there-can-be-no-unity-with-those-celebrating-charlie-kirks-assassination">killed</a> two children and injured many others when he opened fire on a Catholic school mass in late August. That shooting came two years after another trans-identifying killer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nashville-mourns-covenant-school-shooting-victims-at-citywide-vigil">targeted</a> Christian school children in Nashville.
On September 4, a week before Kirk’s murder, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-trump-doj-considering-gun-ban-for-transgenders?author=Mary+Margaret+Olohan&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=0&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Trump+DOJ+Deliberates+Over+Gun+Ban+For+Transgenders">reported</a> that Justice Department officials were considering blocking trans-identifying people from buying firearms in conversations on the “range of options” following the Annunciation school shooting.
Kirk’s words left a deep impression, Miller told Vance, saying: “I will write those words onto my heart and I will carry them out.”
The White House deputy chief of staff was emotional as he shared the “incredible sadness” and “incredible anger” he has felt over the death of his friend. Unfocused anger or blind rage is not productive, reflected Miller, but “righteous anger is one of the most important agents of change in human history.”
“We are going to channel all the anger that we have over the organized campaign that led to this assassination, to uproot and dismantle these terrorist networks,” said Miller.
He explained: “The organized doxxing campaigns. The organized riots. The organized street violence. The organized campaigns of dehumanization, vilification. Posting people&#8217;s addresses, combining that with messaging that&#8217;s designed to trigger and incite violence. And the actual organized cells that carry out and facilitate the violence.”
Miller argued that there is a “vast domestic terror movement” alive in the United States.
“And with God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the Justice Department, Homeland Security, and throughout this government, to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and destroy these networks, and make America safe again for the American people.”
Miller has emerged at the forefront of the conversations surrounding the radical ideology that inspired Kirk’s killer. The day after Kirk was murdered, Miller <a href="https://x.com/StephenM/status/1966140301044564370">posted</a> on “X” and spoke out against the ideology behind Kirk’s death.
“There is an ideology that has steadily been growing in this country which hates everything that is good, righteous and beautiful and celebrates everything that is warped, twisted and depraved,” he wrote. “It is an ideology at war with family and nature. It is envious, malicious, and soulless. It is an ideology that looks upon the perfect family with bitter rage while embracing the serial criminal with tender warmth.”
“Its adherents organize constantly to tear down and destroy every mark of grace and beauty while lifting up everything monstrous and foul,” Miller explained. “It is an ideology that leads, always, inevitably and willfully, to violence — violence against those who uphold order, who uphold faith, who uphold family, who uphold all that is noble and virtuous in this world. It is an ideology whose one unifying thread is the insatiable thirst for destruction.”
The White House deputy chief of staff pointed to the posts online cheering for the assassination of Kirk, writing: “We see the workings of this ideology in every posting online cheering the evil assassination that cruelly robbed this nation of one of its greatest men.”
“Postings from those in positions of institutional authority — educators, healthcare workers, therapists, government employees — reveling in the vile and the sinister with the most chilling glee,” he reflected. “The fate of millions depends upon the defeat of this wicked ideology. The fate of our children, our society, our civilization hinges on it. Now we devote ourselves, with love and unyielding determination, to finishing the indispensable work to which Charlie bravely devoted his life and gave his last measure of devotion.”

Stephen Miller laid into reporters outside the White House over criticisms of the Trump administration&#8217;s plan to deport illegal alien and suspected MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego-Garcia to Uganda.
Miller pointed out the fact that it was not the federal government&#8217;s job to give illegal aliens a choice in the matter — and that Salvadoran national Abrego-Garcia had objected to being returned to his own home country, El Salvador.

Miller went on to say that Uganda had been chosen because the United States had reached an agreement with the African nation to help resettle people who were being deported from the country — and that it wasn&#8217;t going to be up to the illegal alien in question to choose a &#8220;favorite destination&#8221; on the backs of American taxpayers.
