<h2 style="text-align: center;">Mayhem In Minneapolis As Agitators Target ICE</h2>
An ICE agent shot &#8220;an illegal alien from Venezuela&#8221; in the leg on Wednesday night after being &#8220;ambushed by three individuals,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/DHSgov/status/2011632198000976086">according</a> to an X post by DHS. The agent was attacked with a snow shovel and a broom handle. The ICE officer and the suspect who was shot were hospitalized, and the other two attackers are in custody, DHS said. Tensions on the streets remain high in Minneapolis, but ICE is still moving forward with its mission. Daily Wire immigration reporter Jenny Taer joined Morning Wire on the ground in Minneapolis, describing the chaotic environment in which federal immigration officers are attempting to do their jobs. “There were absolutely moments where I felt like things were just going to go haywire,” Taer said. Agitators constantly impede and threaten officers. Arrests of agitators have become a daily occurrence in Minneapolis, despite efforts by federal agents to de-escalate and allow agitators to step away. Taer said that the situation in Minneapolis is “very intense,” and the attempt to hamper ICE is a “very organized, well-communicated operation.”
<h2 style="text-align: center;">ICE Officer Sustains Internal Bleeding After Renee Good Shooting</h2>
New information has come to light on the condition of the ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Good. According to the Department of Homeland Security, Good’s vehicle <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ice-officer-who-shot-renee-good-internal-injuries-sources-say/">struck</a> the ICE agent hard enough to cause internal bleeding. The agent and his family have since gone into hiding because of the threats they face. Regarding the Good investigation, at least half a dozen prosecutors have resigned from the Minneapolis U.S. Attorney&#8217;s office over the handling of the Good shooting death investigation, reportedly stemming from objections to Justice Department priorities and the refusal to open a civil rights inquiry.
<h2 style="text-align: center;">Clintons Duck Congress’s Epstein Questions</h2>
The Clintons are refusing to comply with a subpoena in the House Oversight Committee’s Jeffrey Epstein investigation. The Clintons’ attorneys issued a lengthy statement on Tuesday saying the couple would not appear before Congress to answer questions. The letter argued that the former president and first lady had “already provided the limited information they possess about Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to the Committee,” and that the committee’s subpoenas “are invalid and legally unenforceable.” Oversight Committee chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republicans-seek-to-hold-bill-clinton-in-contempt-after-he-refuses-to-testify-on-epstein">said</a> in return, the committee would vote next week to “hold former President Clinton in contempt of Congress.”

Former President Bill Clinton refused to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday after he and former first lady Hillary Clinton were subpoenaed to appear for a closed-door hearing on their relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
House Oversight Republicans, led by Kentucky Rep. James Comer, said they will seek to hold the former president in contempt of Congress next week.
&#8220;As a result of Bill Clinton not showing up for his lawful subpoena, which again was voted unanimously by the committee in a bipartisan manner, we will move next week in the House Oversight Committee markup to hold former President Clinton in contempt of Congress,&#8221; Comer said.
&#8220;I think everyone knows by now Bill Clinton did not show up,&#8221; Comer added. &#8220;No one&#8217;s accusing Bill Clinton of any wrongdoing. We just have questions. And that&#8217;s why the Democrats voted, along with Republicans, to subpoena Bill Clinton.&#8221;
Hillary Clinton is scheduled to testify on Wednesday, but it also appears that she will not comply with the subpoena, according to a letter the Clintons sent to Comer.
“Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principles and its people, no matter the consequences,” the Clintons wrote in the letter, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/01/13/us/politics/clinton-legal-letter-comer.html">according</a> to The New York Times. “For us, now is that time.”
The lengthy letter, which was sent by the Clintons&#8217; attorneys, argued that the former president and first lady had &#8220;already provided the limited information they possess about Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to the Committee.&#8221; They also claimed that the committee&#8217;s subpoenas &#8220;are invalid and legally unenforceable, untethered to a valid legislative purpose, unwarranted because they do not seek pertinent information, and an unprecedented infringement on the separation of powers.&#8221;
The Clintons were initially scheduled to appear before Congress in mid-December, but Comer moved their testimonies to January 13 and 14 to accommodate their funeral obligation. After receiving a subpoena to appear before the committee, the Clintons&#8217; lawyer asked if they could submit “a written proffer of what little information” they have on Epstein. Comer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/congress-just-ordered-the-clintons-to-face-epstein-depositions-heres-when-theyll-be-grilled">denied</a> that request in November and ordered the Clintons to appear for their depositions.
Epstein, whose past relationship with President Donald Trump has been scrutinized over the past year, was also friends with the Clintons. Bill Clinton traveled on Epstein&#8217;s infamous private jet with the disgraced financier and his associate Maxwell multiple times. Clinton was also photographed receiving a back massage from then-22-year-old Epstein accuser Chauntae Davies.
There is no evidence that Hillary traveled with Epstein, and neither Bill nor Hillary has been accused of any wrongdoing related to Epstein’s sex crimes. Bill Clinton&#8217;s relationship with Epstein, however, is back in the spotlight as the Department of Justice has begun releasing more files and photos from the Epstein estate. Some of the images <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bill-clinton-responds-to-shocking-photos-in-epstein-file-dump">show</a> Clinton swimming in a pool alongside Maxwell, and in another, he is in a hot tub with a woman whose face is redacted.
President Trump, who also used to be a friend of Epstein&#8217;s, has accused Clinton of visiting Epstein&#8217;s island, a claim that Clinton denies. But Trump <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-on-release-epstein-files-photos-clinton-others/">said</a> last month that he didn&#8217;t like the pictures of Clinton being released to the public.
&#8220;I think Bill Clinton&#8217;s a big boy, he can handle it,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;But you probably have pictures being exposed of other people that innocently met Jeffrey Epstein years ago &#8230; and they&#8217;re highly respected bankers and lawyers and others.&#8221;
In a statement <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bill-clinton-responds-to-shocking-photos-in-epstein-file-dump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">responding</a> to the photos, Clinton&#8217;s chief of staff, Angel Ureña, said that the former president &#8220;knew nothing and cut Epstein off before his crimes came to light.&#8221;
“The White House hasn’t been hiding these files for months only to dump them late on a Friday to protect Bill Clinton,” Ureña added. “This is about shielding themselves from what comes next, or from what they’ll try and hide forever. So they can release as many grainy, 20-plus-year-old photos as they want, but this isn’t about Bill Clinton. Never has, never will be.”

The Justice Department released another 30,000 documents related to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein on Tuesday, including those they said contained “untrue and sensationalist&#8221; claims against President Donald Trump. 
The document drop comes after hundreds of thousands of documents were released on Friday that included photos of former President Bill Clinton with Epstein. The latest document drop included claims about Trump and Epstein submitted to the FBI before the 2020 election, the Justice Department said. 
“The Department of Justice has officially released nearly 30,000 more pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election,” the Justice Department said Tuesday. 
“To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already. Nevertheless, out of our commitment to the law and transparency, the DOJ is releasing these documents with the legally required protections for Epstein’s victims,” the department added. 
The documents can be viewed <a href="https://www.justice.gov/epstein/doj-disclosures/data-set-8-files">here</a>. The release includes a wide variety of documents, including news article clippings, emails, and court filings. One of the documents includes an <a href="https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%208/EFTA00016732.pdf">email</a> from a federal prosecutor alleging that Trump had been a passenger multiple times on Epstein’s private plane. 
“In particular, he is listed as a passenger on at least eight flights between 1993 and 1996, including at least four flights on which Maxwell was also present,” the email said. &#8220;On one flight in 1993, he and Epstein are the only two listed passengers; on another, the only three passengers are Epstein, Trump, and then-20-year-old [redacted]. On two other flights, two of the passengers, respectively, were women who would be possible witnesses in a Maxwell case.&#8221;
Another <a href="https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%208/EFTA00020517.pdf">document</a> included allegations leveled against Trump by a Dallas limousine driver, who claimed that Trump made &#8220;very concerning&#8221; remarks in his limo in 1995. According to the FBI document, the driver &#8220;noted Trump continuously stated the name &#8216;Jeffrey&#8217; while on the phone, and made references to abusing some girl.&#8221; The claims made by the driver were not substantiated, according to the Justice Department.

Trump has characterized questions about the Epstein case as a “hoax” perpetrated by Democrats to derail his administration. No evidence has been produced that the president ever engaged in illegal behavior during his previous encounters with Epstein, whom he banned from Mar-a-Lago. 
“Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive and, if the Democrats had anything, they would have released it before our Landslide Election Victory,” Trump said in a post last month calling for Republicans to support legislation requiring the Justice Department to release the documents. 
After signing the disclosure legislation, Trump took aim at Epstein’s connections with major Democrats. 
“Perhaps the truth about these Democrats, and their associations with Jeffrey Epstein, will soon be revealed, because I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!” Trump said on Truth Social. “This latest Hoax will backfire on the Democrats just as all of the rest have!”

Former President Bill Clinton is claiming he&#8217;s being scapegoated in the wake of the latest Epstein file dump that featured jarring new photos of Clinton with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted pedophile.
Clinton appears in a number of the images released by the Department of Justice in accordance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was signed into law by President Donald Trump last month.
Some of the photos show Clinton swimming in a pool with convicted Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell and in a hot tub with at least one unidentified female whose face has been redacted, as reported by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doj-drops-long-awaited-trove-of-epstein-files-that-includes-shocking-bill-clinton-pics?topStoryPosition=undefined&amp;author=Virginia+Kruta&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=4&amp;row=1&amp;rowHeadline=Top+Stories&amp;rowType=Top+Stories&amp;title=DOJ+Drops+Long-Awaited+Trove+Of+Epstein+Files+That+Includes+Shocking+Bill+Clinton+Pics">The Daily Wire</a>. Notably, according to the DOJ, the only faces that would be redacted would be those of minors, alleged victims, and government officials.
Clinton chief of staff Angel Ureña responded in a statement posted to X on Friday evening, saying Clinton cut ties with Epstein after his &#8220;crimes came to light&#8221; and is being scapegoated by the Trump administration.
&#8220;There are two types of people here. The first group knew nothing and cut Epstein off before his crimes came to light,&#8221; Ureña said. &#8220;The second group continued relationships with him after. We&#8217;re in the first. No amount of stalling by people in the second group will change that.&#8221;
&#8220;Everyone, especially MAGA, expects answers, not scapegoats,&#8221; he added.

Epstein visited the White House multiple times while Clinton was president, according to visitor logs. Additionally, after Clinton left office, Epstein assisted with some of the former president’s philanthropy and Clinton flew numerous times on Epstein’s private jet, the Associated Press <a href="https://www.wdtv.com/2025/12/20/photos-bill-clinton-included-newly-released-epstein-files/">reports</a>.

The Justice Department will need more time to release all of the remaining documents related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, missing Friday&#8217;s deadline that was stipulated in the law signed by President Donald Trump last month.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche told &#8220;<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6386705034112">Fox &amp; Friends</a>&#8221; on Friday that &#8220;several hundred thousand documents&#8221; would be made public on Friday, but &#8220;several hundred thousand&#8221; more documents won&#8217;t be released until the coming weeks.
&#8220;The most important thing that the attorney general has talked about, that [FBI Director Kash] Patel has talked about, is that we protect victims, and so what we are doing is we are looking at every single piece of paper that we are going to produce, making sure that every victim, their name, their identity, their story to the extent that it needs to be protected is completely protected.&#8221;
Blanche said that the dump on Friday will include numerous forms of documents, including photos. The Justice Department has been “working tirelessly” as it sifts through &#8220;every single document&#8221; to ensure that victims are protected before the information in the documents is made public. The bill passed by Congress and signed by Trump last month allows the Trump administration to withhold information on victims, including images of child sexual abuse.
Blanche added that President Trump &#8220;has said for years, that he wants full transparency, and he wants the Department of Justice to release everything that we can in respect to this investigation.&#8221; The deputy attorney general then blasted Democrats who are now focusing on the Epstein case after there was &#8220;radio silence&#8221; on the issue during the Biden administration.

The Epstein investigation has plagued the Trump administration since the summer, when the Justice Department said that it found no evidence of an Epstein client list, and President Trump called the issue a &#8220;hoax.&#8221;
The Trump administration has also faced criticism from a few Republican lawmakers over its handling of the Epstein case. On Friday, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie <a href="https://x.com/RepThomasMassie/status/2002028539600912595">shared</a> an image of the bill signed into law by Trump, highlighting the sentence that requires the release of the files within 30 days.
&#8220;Time’s up. Release the files,&#8221; Massie <a href="https://x.com/RepThomasMassie/status/2002051542787207310">said</a>.
The Justice Department did not say when on Friday it would release the hundreds of thousands of documents slated to become public. Neither did the Trump administration say when exactly the remaining files would be released.
So far, the Republican-led House Oversight Committee has released over 50,000 pages of documents and thousands of photos from the Epstein estate. While prominent politicians and powerful people, such as Trump and former President Bill Clinton, have been named in the files and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/democrats-release-batch-of-epstein-photos-featuring-trump-clinton-and-bill-gates">images</a> of them with Epstein have also been released. A photo obtained by The Daily Wire on Thursday shows Clinton and Epstein standing side-by-side.

Former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, were ordered to appear before Congress for depositions on the Jeffrey Epstein probe next month after the two powerful Democrats attempted to avoid the House Oversight Committee&#8217;s grilling.
The Clintons&#8217; lawyer wrote a letter to the House Oversight Committee on November 3 in an attempt to get the former president and former Secretary of State out of testifying in person. The Clintons&#8217; attorney asked if they could simply submit “a written proffer of what little information” they have on Epstein. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) <a href="https://x.com/RepJamesComer/status/1991877484208595253">denied</a> that request on Friday and ordered the Clintons to appear for their depositions on December 17 and 18.
&#8220;As your letter indicates, both President Clinton and Secretary Clinton possess information relevant to the Committee&#8217;s investigation,&#8221; Comer wrote to the Clintons&#8217; attorney, David Kendall.
&#8220;Additionally, your suggestion that your clients’ testimony would not be relevant to the stated purposes of the Committee’s investigation because the events in question took place outside of the Clintons’ respective official duties, misses the Committee’s point,&#8221; Comer added. &#8220;It is precisely the fact President Clinton and Secretary Clinton each maintained relationships with Mr. Epstein and Ms. [Ghislaine] Maxwell in their personal capacities as private citizens that is of interest to the Committee.&#8221;
Former President Clinton is scheduled to appear before the committee at 10:00 a.m. on December 17, while the former first lady is set to appear at 10:00 a.m. on December 18.
A House Oversight panel <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/house-panel-votes-to-subpoena-epstein-files-clintons-ex-law-enforcement-leaders">voted</a> in July to subpoena the Clintons, along with former law enforcement leaders and more files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Three Republicans joined with five Democrats in the vote to approve the subpoenas. Comer then issued the subpoenas for the Clintons on August 5.

Trump also signed legislation earlier this week to release the remaining Epstein files after arguing that Democrats have focused on what he has called the Epstein &#8220;hoax&#8221; to deflect from other issues.
Bill Clinton traveled with Epstein and Maxwell multiple times, with flight records indicating that the former president was with Epstein on his infamous “Lolita Express,” the airplane Epstein is accused of using to sex traffic underage girls. The former president <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/bill-clinton-jeffrey-epstein/story?id=127629827">traveled</a> with the financier and his associate to numerous countries, including Bangkok, Brunei, Rwanda, Russia, and China.
Trump has suggested that Bill Clinton visited Epstein&#8217;s island in the Virgin Islands, but the former president has denied that he ever set foot on the island. In an email released by the House Oversight Committee earlier this month, Epstein wrote that Bill Clinton &#8220;was NEVER EVER there, never.&#8221;
There is no evidence that Hillary traveled with Epstein, and neither Bill nor Hillary has been accused of any wrongdoing related to Epstein&#8217;s sex crimes.
The Clintons&#8217; attorney stated in his November 3 letter that both Bill and Hillary &#8220;welcome legitimate oversight,&#8221; seeking to uncover the truth behind Epstein&#8217;s and Maxwell&#8217;s crimes. The attorney added that the Clintons &#8220;have little to contribute to that legitimate goal, all of which can be readily submitted on paper.&#8221;
Comer argued that the committee is &#8220;entitled to a fulsome examination&#8221; of the information that the Clintons possess on Epstein and &#8220;the ability to elicit the information in person and to ask relevant follow-up questions.&#8221;

President Donald Trump believes Democrats are reviving attention on Jeffrey Epstein to distract from the party’s recent government shutdown failure. Now, the president is directing his own focus toward Epstein, calling out prominent Democrats who had ties to the convicted sex offender.
Trump directed the Department of Justice on Friday to investigate Epstein&#8217;s connections to a list of powerful Democrats, including former President Bill Clinton, former U.S. Treasury Secretary and Harvard President Larry Summers, and venture capitalist Reid Hoffman. Trump compared the Democratic Party&#8217;s focus on Epstein to the Russian collusion investigation during his first administration, arguing that all the &#8220;arrows&#8221; are &#8220;pointing to the Democrats.&#8221;
&#8220;Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous SHUTDOWN, and all of their other failures, I will be asking A.G. Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Trump&#8217;s directive comes two days after Democrats <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dems-drop-new-epstein-emails-in-which-he-claims-trump-knew-about-the-girls">released</a> multiple Epstein emails, including correspondence in which the pedophile claimed that Trump &#8220;knew about the girls&#8221; and “spent hours” at Epstein’s home with one of the sexual abuser&#8217;s victims. The House GOP Oversight Committee released an additional 20,000 pages of documents on Wednesday, and the White House <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-responds-to-epstein-emails-dropped-by-dems-says-its-an-attempt-to-deflect-from-shutdown">said</a> that the contents further confirm that Trump did not take part in Epstein&#8217;s sex crimes.
“The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump. The ‘unnamed victim’ referenced in these emails is the late Virginia Giuffre, who repeatedly said President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and ‘couldn’t have been friendlier’ to her in their limited interactions,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Trump also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-responds-to-epstein-emails-dropped-by-dems-says-its-an-attempt-to-deflect-from-shutdown">responded</a> to the Epstein email dump, saying on Wednesday that &#8220;Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown.&#8221; He added, &#8220;Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap.&#8221;
Clinton&#8217;s association with Epstein is well documented, but — like Trump — the former president has not been accused of any wrongdoing related to Epstein&#8217;s crimes. Clinton traveled across the world with Epstein numerous times, with flight records indicating that the former president was on Epstein&#8217;s infamous “Lolita Express,” the airplane on which Epstein is accused of using to sex traffic underage girls. In 2002, Clinton was also <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/fact-check-2002-pic-epstein-195200112.html">pictured</a> getting a massage from one of Epstein&#8217;s accusers, then-22-year-old Chauntae Davies. Davies accused Epstein of raping her multiple times over the course of four years. She did not accuse Clinton of any wrongdoing.
Summers also had a good relationship with Epstein, as did financial power player Hoffman. None of those men has been publicly accused by any of the women who were victimized by Epstein. Summers and Epstein communicated regularly throughout the years, and the latest Epstein email dump revealed that Summers <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/12/us/politics/epstein-larry-summers.html">asked</a> Epstein for advice about a relationship with a woman after Epstein had pleaded guilty to state-level prostitution charges.
Hoffman <a href="https://www.axios.com/2019/09/12/reid-hoffman-jeffrey-epstein-mit-donations">admitted</a> in 2019 that his relationship with Epstein and his agreement to participate in a fundraising event alongside him &#8220;helped to repair [Epstein&#8217;s] reputation and perpetuate injustice.&#8221;
&#8220;For this, I am deeply regretful,&#8221; Hoffman added.
J.P. Morgan Chase, one of the world&#8217;s largest banks, has faced scrutiny after <a href="https://docs.house.gov/meetings/JU/JU00/20250917/118612/HHRG-119-JU00-20250917-SD055-U55.pdf">processing and handling</a> more than $1 billion for Epstein over the course of 15 years. JPMorgan agreed to a $290 million settlement with Epstein&#8217;s victims in 2023 after it was accused of ignoring red flags about Epstein&#8217;s sex trafficking.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent flipped the script on Democratic adviser-turned-ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos during a Sunday morning interview, reminding him of what he&#8217;d said about the government shutdowns that took place in 1995 when his old boss, former President Bill Clinton, had been at odds with a Republican-controlled Congress led by then House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA).
Bessent joined Stephanopoulos to talk about the ongoing shutdown — driven by Democrat demands for a blanket extension of 2022 Obamacare subsidies that were designed to assist with shortfalls due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then sunset  after three years — and the conversation centered on how best to bring an end to the shutdown that has now lasted nearly 40 days.

&#8220;That’s a mischaracterization of history,&#8221; Stephaopoulos claimed.
However, during a <a href="https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/clinton/interviews/stephanopoulos.html">PBS interview</a> conducted in the summer of 2000, Stephanopoulos used almost the exact words quoted by Bessent to describe the White House&#8217;s strategy — of which he was an integral part — to fight congressional Republicans during the 1995 government shutdowns that lasted five days (November 14-19) and 21 days (December 16, 1995-January 6, 1996) respectively.
The question presented to Stephanopoulos was a simple one: &#8220;In the fall of 1995, the government shutdown is dominating the government at this time. The president is doing some real brinkmanship. What was the strategy with the Republicans in the fall of 1995?&#8221;
&#8220;Our strategy was very simple,&#8221; Stephanopoulos replied. &#8220;We couldn&#8217;t buckle, and we had to say that they were blackmailing the country to get their way. In order to get their tax cut, they were willing to shut down the government, throw the country into default for the first time in its history and cut Medicare, Social Security, education and the environment just so they could get their way. And we were trying to say that they were basically terrorists, and it worked.&#8221;

It has been 24 years since the deadly attacks on the U.S. that unleashed a decade-long war against Al-Qaeda and the hunt for its leader. Those who fought that war and participated in that hunt should be remembered and honored for it.

The documentary also provides insights into the efforts of the skipper of the USS Cole, Commander Kirk S. Lippold, and other military professionals, who navigate the limitations placed on their abilities to respond to terror threats in the pre-9/11 era, which are at once fascinating and deeply unsettling. Finally, the show documents the comprehensive investigation and relentless pursuit of the perpetrators in the wake of the attack.
The Al Qaeda attack on the Cole occurred on October 12, 2000. The U.S. Navy destroyer was making a routine refueling stop at the Port of Aden, Yemen, when a small boat carrying concealed explosives approached the port side of the ship. The two men on board made friendly gestures to sailors on the Cole, and then detonated their lethal cargo. The resulting blast tore a 40-foot-wide hole in the hull near the galley, at a time when many crew members were lining up for lunch. The explosion killed 17 personnel on the ship and injured 40 others. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attack, which had been coordinated by operatives who had trained in Afghanistan.

As shown in the Big Media production, the crew of the Cole responded to the attack with extraordinary bravery and professionalism, working to triage injured shipmates and to deal with the extensive damage to the vessel. Within minutes of the explosion, medical personnel were rescuing, treating, and evacuating the wounded, many of whom were trapped under collapsed bulkheads. Sailors, a number of whom were badly injured themselves, fought flooding and fires for more than 96 hours, working without adequate sleep or food, often in total darkness and with the threat of further explosions. They did this despite the loss of key leaders, demonstrating great technical skill and courage in extremely hazardous conditions. With the assistance of nearby British Royal Navy ships and medical aid from the French military, the crew members saved the lives of injured shipmates and kept their ship from sinking. Later transported back to the U.S. for repair, the Cole remains in service with the Navy today.
&#8220;USS Cole: Al Qaeda&#8217;s Strike Before 9/11&#8221; also recounts the FBI investigation into the attack on the Cole. The Bureau dispatched more than 100 agents, lab technicians, and counterterrorism personnel to Yemen. Working with local authorities, FBI officers conducted witness interviews and collected evidence that resulted in a determination that Al Qaeda was, indeed, responsible for the Cole attack. In fact, it was tied to an abortive attempt to bomb another Navy ship, the USS The Sullivans, in January 2000. By the end of 2000, two men suspected of masterminding the bombing were arrested. Both subsequently escaped from Yemeni jails but were later killed in separate American airstrikes.
Another planner of the attack, captured in 2002, was shipped to Guantanamo Bay, where he was charged with responsibility for the Cole bombing and other terror-related offenses. Additional investigations and prosecutions identified numerous unindicted Al Qaeda co-conspirators. U.S. authorities have continuously pursued the remaining suspects. 
The lessons learned from the ordeal of the USS Cole and the investigations resulted in significant changes to U.S. Navy force protection protocols and U.S. counterterrorism policy. The documentary raises a key question over whether one of the key factors that contributed to the successful terrorist bombing of the Cole — and to the 9/11 attack — was that we were paying attention to things that distracted us from the threat.
Before the first plane struck the World Trade Center, we, as a nation, had not yet begun to fight. But the men and women of the USS Cole already had. And it is right that we should honor and remember them for it. In its portrayal of their courage, heroism, and sacrifice, the Big Media telling of their story does just that.

The Justice Department on Friday released hours of audio and hundreds of pages of <a href="https://www.justice.gov/maxwell-interview">transcripts</a> of interviews it conducted with Jeffrey Epstein associate and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.
During her two days of interviews with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Maxwell said she does not believe that Epstein, who was found dead in a Manhattan federal prison cell in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges, killed himself.
&#8220;I do not believe he died by suicide,&#8221; Maxwell said, adding that she had no idea who could have been behind his death.
Maxwell confirmed her close ties to the rich and famous, but claimed she never saw any man do anything inappropriate with a woman of any age. She said that it was “a flat no” that any man, including President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton, did anything inappropriate.
“I never, ever saw any man doing something inappropriate with a woman of any age. I never saw inappropriate habits,” she <a href="https://www.justice.gov/storage/audio-files/Interview%20Transcript/Interview%20Transcript%20-%20Maxwell%202025.07.25%20(Redacted).pdf">told</a> Blanche. “Now somebody’s inappropriate and mine may be different.”
Maxwell also denied the existence of any Epstein client list and that anyone was being blackmailed. Blanche asked whether Maxwell had seen a variety of powerful men do anything inappropriate with women during her interactions with them.
“Absolutely never, in any context,” she said when asked if she had seen President Donald Trump do anything improper.
“Trump was always very cordial and very kind to me. And I just want to say that I find — I — I admire his extraordinary achievement in becoming the president now. And I like him, and I’ve always liked him. So that is the sum and substance of my entire relationship with him,” she said, according to the transcript.
“I actually never saw the president in any type of massage setting. I never witnessed the president in any inappropriate setting in any way,” she added. “The president was never inappropriate with anybody. In the times that I was with him, he was a gentleman in all respects.”
She said that she was unaware of any masseuses from Mar-a-Lago ever giving Epstein a private massage. 
She also complained about people linking her and Epstein together.
“Another thing is that everyone puts us together like a monolith,” she said. “He literally had a separate life from me. I literally had a separate life from him.”
During the interview, Maxwell discussed her relationship with the Clintons, recounting a trip she took to Latin America with President Bill Clinton. When asked what the purpose of the trip was, she said that she did not remember.
“And I thought it was an honor and a privilege to be part of something so amazing and to have an opportunity to spend time with a man that I found truly extraordinary. And please, I don’t mean it in any other way, other than as a former fantastic ex-president,” she said.
She also said that she had met powerful figures like Elon Musk, former CNN host Chris Cuomo, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, former Secretary of State John Kerry, former Democrat Senator Ted Kennedy, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
According to Maxwell, RFK Jr. and Epstein took a trip in the mid-1990s to find dinosaur bones in the Dakotas. She said that she never witnessed anything inappropriate happen on the trip.
Shortly after the interview files were released, Maxwell’s lawyer put out a statement denying that she had ever committed any crimes.
“Ghislaine Maxwell is innocent and never should have been tried, much less convicted, in this case. She never committed or participated in sexual abuse against minors, or anyone else for that matter,” lawyer David Markus posted on X. “In fact, the government has admitted that it did not even consider her a conspirator during the extensive investigation into Epstein in the Southern District of Florida. The only reason she was ever charged is that she served as a scapegoat after Jeffrey Epstein died in prison.”
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 for her role in the Epstein scheme to sexually abuse and exploit minor girls. She is currently serving out a 20-year sentence and was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ghislaine-maxwell-moved-from-florida-prison-to-lower-security-facility" target="_blank" rel="noopener">moved</a> to a lower-security prison shortly after she met with Blanche.
Trump has been asked numerous times if he would consider pardoning Maxwell.

Ghislaine Maxwell Reveals Whether She Believes Epstein Committed Suicide

The Democrats gave Republicans in command of Congress a trump card should former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, fight their <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/congress-subpoenas-clintons-doj-records-and-former-officials-in-sweeping-epstein-investigation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">subpoenas</a> for testimony related to deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, said House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY).
During an <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6376766065112" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview on Fox News</a>, Comer explained to &#8220;Sunday Morning Futures&#8221; anchor Maria Bartiromo that a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/house-panel-votes-to-subpoena-epstein-files-clintons-ex-law-enforcement-leaders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bipartisan vote</a> underlying the subpoenas demanding an October 9 deposition with Hillary Clinton and October 14 deposition with Bill Clinton could be a valuable asset in a potential court battle. Comer also subpoenaed the Department of Justice (DOJ) for documents related to Epstein as well as several ex-law enforcement leaders for testimony.

&#8220;What makes these subpoenas special and historical is that they came as a result of a bipartisan vote,&#8221; Comer said. &#8220;The Democrats made a motion, like we knew they would, to subpoena the Epstein documents, which Republicans support. Scott Perry from Pennsylvania amended that motion to include subpoenas for both Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as six former attorneys generals — and the Democrats voted for it.&#8221;
He continued, &#8220;Now they&#8217;re scared and trying to say they didn&#8217;t vote for it, but they did. It&#8217;s on record. And that helps us in court. If the Clintons try to fight this subpoena, which we presume they will, this &#8230; subpoena came as a result of a bipartisan vote, which has never happened before in the House Oversight Committee.&#8221;
The Clintons have sought to distance themselves from Epstein, a wealthy financier and convicted sex offender who was found dead at the age of 66 in his New York City jail cell in 2019 — after being arrested on sex trafficking charges involving young girls. Bill Clinton&#8217;s spokesperson released a statement in 2019 that acknowledged some trips on Epstein&#8217;s plane and meetings with him, but <a href="https://x.com/angelurena/status/1148357927625023490" target="_blank" rel="noopener">denied</a> the former president had knowledge of Epstein&#8217;s crimes or made trips to his private island.
In his subpoena <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/2025.08.05-Subpoena-Cover-Letters.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cover letters</a>, Comer said there were &#8220;conflicting reports&#8221; about whether Bill Clinton did visit Epstein&#8217;s island. The chairman noted Bill Clinton was &#8220;allegedly close&#8221; to Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell and &#8220;attended an intimate dinner with her in 2014, three years after public reports about her involvement in Mr. Epstein’s abuse of minors.&#8221; Maxwell, who is serving <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/ghislaine-maxwell-sentenced-20-years-prison-conspiring-jeffrey-epstein-sexually-abuse">a 20-year prison sentence</a> after being found guilty of conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse underage girls, is another person Comer has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ghislaine-maxwell-sends-congress-list-of-demands-for-deposition" target="_blank" rel="noopener">subpoenaed</a>. Comer further pointed out that Maxwell’s nephew worked for Hillary Clinton&#8217;s 2008 presidential campaign and was hired by the State Department shortly after she became secretary of state.&#8221;
&#8220;So we&#8217;re looking forward to hearing from the Clintons,&#8221; Comer told Bartiromo. &#8220;The American people want to know what went on on Epstein island. We know Clinton went there many times. We just want to ask Bill Clinton what he saw when he was there and who all was involved.&#8221;
