They’re everywhere.
Teenage environmental alarmists are all over the place, making all kinds of claims (they don’t have to provide support for the claims, they’re only teenagers, after all).
At a climate forum in Washington, D.C. this week, teen Alyssa Wiseman said “we no longer have the luxury of time.”
“Each and every voice is necessary to bring change. My name is Alyssa Wiseman, and I am here as a concerned citizen. As a child, I should not have to worry about my future. But my future is in jeopardy. All of our futures are in jeopardy. Your children’s futures are in jeopardy,” she said.
Then she made some dire predictions.
“We have only 11 years to rectify decades of damage that we have inflicted on our planet. And only 18 months until some damages are irreversible. We no longer have the luxury of time. We do not have the luxury of gradual change. We are in the midst of a global emergency. And we must act fast if we want to survive.”
Funny, longtime climate alarmist Al Gore said we only had 10 years to fix the world. He said that 14 years ago. And Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 29-year-old former bartender and leader of the Democratic socialists, says now that we have just 12 years to get rid of cars and cows.
But back to the young climate activists.
Greta Thunberg is another teen making headlines. Greta’s a 16-year-old climate change activist from Sweden, and the mainstream media swoons whenever she speaks. She’s held court at the United Nations, on the floor of the U.S. Congress, and this week got a rock star reception as she led thousands on a march through New York City.
Of course she dislikes President Donald Trump. “This is the biggest crisis humanity has ever faced and we need to treat it accordingly,” she says and dismisses Trump by saying, “I don’t want to meet with people who don’t accept the science.” She also said she wouldn’t accept an invitation to the White House if it was offered (which it wasn’t).
And “eco-activist” Reina Hatcher says, “I am only 16 years old. I am here to speak for the trees and all other life on Earth which cannot speak,” she said at the D.C. forum. “We are killing our planet. Not just for the human race, but everything on Earth.”
Breitbart put together a nice compilation of all the times climate alarmists have gotten it wrong. “For more than 50 years Climate Alarmists in the scientific community and environmental movement have not gotten even one prediction correct, but they do have a perfect record of getting 41 predictions wrong.”
