Piers Morgan sparred with an American college professor after her comments about the late Queen Elizabeth II went viral, challenging her to join him for a television interview and engage him directly.
Morgan, who has long defended the British monarchy and the royal family — famously lashing out at Meghan Markle and blaming her for the discord between Princes William and Harry — called out Carnegie Mellon professor Uju Anya for wishing the queen “excruciating” pain on her deathbed.
“I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating,” Uju Anya shared in a tweet that was later deleted. Morgan responded, calling her a “vile disgusting moron.”

Morgan’s staff then apparently reached out to the professor, asking for an interview — and she responded on Twitter: “Piers Morgan calling me ‘vile, disgusting moron’ while his producer calling me for interview. Tufiakwa.”

Morgan was quick to respond, tweeting, “I definitely want to interview you. I’d like you to try repeating to my face that you hoped the Queen died in ‘excruciating pain.’ But I suspect like most vile ‘woke’ trolls, you won’t have the guts. Do you?”
The professor responded by suggesting that she (196.6k followers) is more popular than Morgan (7.9 million followers), and that he was only using her to “chase clout” and resurrect his career.
“No, Piers,” she tweeted. You want to interview me, because your career died in excruciating pain and you need the ratings. But I won’t let you chase clout off me. Like I said, I no dey put food for my enemy mouth.”

Morgan was not buying her assertions, however, and responded, “So like I thought, you don’t have the guts to repeat your disgusting slurs about the Queen to someone who would hold you to account for them. You’re not just a disgrace but a cowardly disgrace.”

Another woman criticized Morgan for challenging the professor, saying, “If there’s one thing this loser’s gonna do, it’s be in a Black woman’s business.”
Morgan fired right back, however, arguing that his comments had nothing to do with race. “When that Black woman says she hopes our great Queen died in ‘excruciating pain’ then damn right I’m going to be in her business, and it has nothing to do with skin color, and everything to do with her repulsive disrespect.”
