After narrowing down 1,300 requests for Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro to speak on campuses across the country, Young America’s Foundation released the final schedule of six campus lectures for this fall.
YAF has sponsored over 35 Shapiro events on college campuses as part of the Fred Allen Lecture Series.
The finalists include:

Monday, October 8: University at Buffalo—Buffalo, NY
Wednesday, October 10: University of Memphis—Memphis, TN
Monday, November 12: University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee—Milwaukee, WI
Tuesday, November 13: Ohio State University—Columbus, OH
Wednesday, November 14: University of Pittsburgh—Pittsburgh, PA
“Young America’s Foundation looks forward to continuing our work with Ben Shapiro to deliver conservative ideas and create an opportunity for the free and open exchange of ideas to flourish on college campuses where intellectual diversity is in dangerously short supply,” said Young America’s Foundation spokesman Spencer Brown in a statement. “YAF and Ben Shapiro provide a rare opportunity for students to hear an articulation of conservative ideas and challenge them in an open Q&A session.”
When Shapiro toured campuses last school year, he was met with protests and pushback from campus administrators. At the University of California at Berkeley, the school spent over $600,000 on security to prevent leftist protestors from becoming violent. At the University of Minnesota, the administration forced Shapiro’s lecture to take place off-campus despite hosting both Elizabeth Warren and Al Franken on campus. And at the University of Utah, the school was forced to pay $25,000 in security fees for 60 officers to keep the peace between hundreds of protestors.
