One of the women who is accusing Ghislaine Maxwell of grooming and trafficking her testified in court that she once saw photos of the British socialite pregnant.
While testifying Wednesday in the federal criminal trial of Maxwell, the former madam of billionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the woman, who testified by her first name only, said that she had seen the photographs inside Epstein’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.
“One of your memories about Ms. Maxwell is you claim that you saw a photograph of her in Epstein’s house, pregnant. Correct?” Maxwell’s defense lawyer, Jeffrey Pagliuca asked the woman, “Carolyn,” Tuesday, via the New York Post.
“Nude and pregnant laying on the –” Carolyn began to respond.
“And pregnant,” Pagliuca cut in.
“Yes. There was multiple pictures, nude photos,” Carolyn responded.
Pagliuca then entered a photograph into the record as a defense exhibit. He approached Carolyn and showed her the photograph.
“That is not the photo,” she responded.
That photograph was not shown publicly in court, the Post noted.
Another witness, Epstein’s longtime pilot David Rodgers, was shown the same photo by the defense team later in the proceedings. Rodgers identified the pregnant woman in the photo as Eva Andersson Dubin, a former Miss Sweden and Epstein’s ex-girlfriend.
Carolyn’s testimony came more than a week after the testimony of Lawrence Paul Visoski, Jr., another longtime pilot of Epstein’s private jets. Visoski said during his testimony that in the 15 years he had worked for Epstein, he had not known Maxwell to be pregnant, the Post reported.
“Now, in that whole time period, Ghislaine never appeared to you to be pregnant, did she?” asked defense attorney Christian Everdell.
“No, not at all,” Visoski replied.
“No one ever told you she was pregnant?” Everdell asked.
“No, never said that,” Visoski answered.
“And you never saw any pictures of her pregnant at any of the residences?” Everdell continued.
“No, I did not,” answered Visoski.
Maxwell has no known children, the Post reported.
Carolyn further testified that she had had some 100 encounters with Jeffrey Epstein between the ages of 14 and 18, and nearly all of them involved something sexual. The Daily Wire’s David Marcus reported:
She said that a friend, Virginia Roberts, who was 18 at the time, invited her to come to Epstein’s estate to get some quick cash. Though not entirely sure what she would be doing there, Carolyn testified that “I went to Mr. Epstein’s house and made money that way.”
She quickly made clear exactly what she claims she was paid for. She said the first time Roberts brought her to the house they both went upstairs to the massage room. There she said, “Virginia had taken off her clothes and asked if I was comfortable doing that[.] I said I wanted to keep on my bra and underwear.”
Carolyn testified that the two girls massaged Epstein and then Roberts climbed atop Epstein. She recounted that “I was sitting on the couch in front of them” as they had sex. For this, the then middle schooler said she was paid $300 in hundred-dollar bills placed on the sink.
Soon, Carolyn claims, she was going on her own, more than 100 times between the ages of 14 and 18, saying that “Maxwell would call and set appointment times,” during the first year of her alleged abuse.
The Daily Wire also reported that a hard drive found in Epstein’s Upper East Side townhouse contained photos and a document detailing the romantic relationship between Maxwell and Epstein.
