<p>The Chinese government, last month, passed a series of laws &#8220;reclaiming&#8221; Hong Kong and implementing a series of oppressive restrictions designed to quell protests and subject Hong Kong citizens, long considered freer than their Chinese counterparts, to draconian Chinese rules.</p>
