Emily Zanotti is a fifteen-year veteran of communications and journalism, having moved from the political world, where she did crisis and digital communications for several prominent campaigns, to the news world, where she has worked for some of the nation’s largest and most prestigious outlets.
Zanotti is an attorney by trade, specializing in Constitutional appellate litigation, but left practice to work in public advocacy, creating digital communications and media strategies for political and corporate clients including the McCain 2008 and Romney 2012 presidential campaigns.
After retiring from campaigns, Zanotti spent time as a campaign trail reporter. founded the political gossip blog NakedDC, and then served as the managing and digital editor for The American Spectator. In 2015, she joined NewsCorp/Wall Street Journal and its Millennial-oriented political site Heat Street where she served as a senior political editor. She became senior editor of The Daily Wire in 2017.
In addition to the Daily Wire, Emily’s work has appeared in the New York Post, National Review, SheKnows Media, The Federalist, Real Clear Politics, the Washington Examiner, The Guardian, Slate, and Wonkette. She has been a featured writer for the Chicago Tribune’s Chicago Now blog, and for the Wall Street Journal’s Cross Country column. She is also the co-host of the LadyBrains podcast.
