While Russia was invading Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has been putting his nuclear deterrent forces on alert, inflation is soaring, and Joe Biden’s administration saw about two million border apprehensions throughout 2021, Vice President Kamala Harris took to Twitter on Thursday to press for Congress to deal with LGBTQ issues.
And she got pilloried.
Harris tweeted, “Let’s send the Equality Act to President Biden’s desk. We must increase protections for LGBTQ+ Americans across the country. The onslaught of state bills targeting transgender Americans and their families is wrong.”

On Monday, at a White House celebration of Black History Month, Harris, speaking of President Biden’s nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to replace Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, who is retiring, insisted, “Because as we all know, elections matter. When folks vote they order what they want. And in this case, they got what they asked for.”
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) fired, “The American people didn’t ask for any of this: Record Inflation Record border crisis Closed schools A war on American energy Afghanistan disaster Russia invasion of Ukraine.”

On Tuesday, Harris was mocked for her explanation of the war in Ukraine after she was asked, “If you’re watching any level of news, even social media, you’re seen everything that’s going on right now in the Ukraine. Break it down in layman’s terms for people who don’t understand what’s going on and how can this directly affect the people the United States.”
“So Ukraine is a country in Europe,” Harris said, with her vast knowledge of geography. “It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically, that’s wrong.”
