Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) published audio on Tuesday that he said was a compilation — put together by his new interns — of some of the many voicemail threats he has received in recent weeks.
Kinzinger, one of two Republicans hand-selected along with Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to sit on the overwhelmingly-Democrat January 6th Committee, shared the audio in a tweet along with a warning about the nature of its content.
“Threats of violence over politics has increased heavily in the last few years. But the darkness has reached new lows,” Kinzinger tweeted. “My new interns made this compilation of recent calls they’ve received while serving in my DC office. WARNING: this video contains foul & graphic language.”

The video began with another disclaimer, stating, “You are about to hear real voicemails and phone calls directed to the Office of Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL-16). This video includes foul language and threats of violence. Viewer discretion is advised.”
“Keep in mind all voicemails and phone calls are received by my interns, high school or college level, attempting to learn about the legislative process,” the warning continued.
What followed were a series of audio clips directed at Kinzinger and members of his family:
- “I hope you naturally die as quickly as f***ing possible, you f***ing piece of s**t.”
- “Hey, you little c*******er, going to come protest in front of your house this weekend.”
- “We know where your family is, and we’re going to get you, you little c*******er.”
- “Gonna get your wife, gonna get your kids, you little c*******ing b******.”
- “You son of a b****, you gave $200 to that black bastard that killed Ashli Babbitt. I hope some — somebody like him kills your nasty mom, and your nasty wife. It’s not a threat, it’s a hope.”
- “Wrath of the Lord God Almighty come upon you, your health, your family, your home, your livelihood, and I’ll pray if it be God’s will that you suffer.”
- “We know where you live, we’re coming to your house.”
- “You’re the biggest piece of s*** politician in the world. Why don’t you just f***ing leave go away and shut your f***ing mouth, you piece of s***.”
Kinzinger previously shared a letter he said was delivered to his home, addressed to his wife and threatening their child as well.
