Megyn Kelly, who has made no bones about her dislike for Meghan Markle, took another shot at her saying that Markle constantly refers to Prince Harry as “my husband.”
Kelly made her remarks on her podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show,” where she spoke with Christopher Anderson, the author of “The King: The Life of Charles III.”
“I was always taken by the fact that from the get-go, Meghan Markle said she knew nothing about Harry being the prince, knew nothing about the family, like every other young women of that age, they were all in love with [the Royals],” Anderson recalled. “There were pictures of her at the gates of Buckingham Palace when she was a teenager.”
“For my age, it was JFK Junior,” Kelly remembered. “For her age it was Prince Harry. Let’s get real, there’s always that eligible bachelor, and the Kennedys back when I was growing up, they were the closest thing we had to American royalty, even though we don’t like royalty here.”
“And so she was a liar,” Kelly charged. “I mean, that’s really what we’re both saying. She lied about it.”
Then Kelly segued to Markle’s habit of referring to her husband in a seemingly proprietary way.
“My producer was pointing out that she was talking about, whatever, her guest mentions Harry and Meghan replies, ‘Oh, my husband? He’s great,’ talking about him helping her get the kids ready in the morning,” she said.
She continued, “My producer, Kelly, says, ‘Is it just me or is it so annoying how she always refers to him as my husband?’”
“It’s not just you, Kelly, it is all of us,” Kelly declared. “’My husband.’ We get it. You bagged the gorilla. Congratulations, you got the big bear; you want us to know.”
In mid-October, Kelly targeted Markle, saying, “Meghan Markle lies regularly, more than most people, about a lot. … She lies so often she’s had to hire a new publicity team now to help work on her image. And a fact checker for her Spotify podcast. Which is rather amusing when you consider the falsehoods broadcast there so far have all been about her. What’s the fact checker going to do?”
Speaking of Markle’s complaints that she had no idea that her job on the game show “Deal or No Deal” was about beauty and not brains, Kelly fired, “She knew exactly what she was getting herself into on that job, and it was no surprise to her that they wanted her to look as good as possible while doing it. What she is trying to con us on now is whether she enjoyed it. She loved every minute of it! She wanted to be objectified! She wanted the adulation.”
