WATCH: Rescuers Save Caged Dogs Abandoned By Owners During Hurricane

   DailyWire.com

Volunteers saved several dogs on Sunday that had apparently been abandoned by their owners and which were locked in a cage to fend for themselves as Hurricane Florence hit North Carolina.

The Daily Mail reported that the dogs “nearly drowned in the Hurricane Florence’s fast-rising flood waters” when they were “rescued from a property in Leland, North Carolina.”

The dogs can be seen frantically waiting for volunteer rescuer Ryan Nichols to save them from the cage as water levels continue to rise.

Journalist Marcus DiPaola caught the rescue on video, writing: “Rescued six dogs in Leland, NC, after the owner LEFT THEM locked in an outdoor cage that filled with flood water that was rapidly rising.”

“We got them out, but by the time we left, the water was so high that they would have drowned,” DiPaola continued. “BRING YOUR PETS WITH YOU!”
