Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden called a female voter in New Hampshire on Sunday a “lying dog-faced pony soldier,” which sparked a flurry of comments online.
The remark came after the woman asked Biden, “How do you explain the performance in Iowa, and why should the voters believe that you can win a national election?”
“You ever been to a caucus?” Biden replied.
After the voter apparently indicated that she had, Biden fired back, “No you haven’t. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier.”
“You gotta be honest,” he continued. “I’m gonna be honest with you. It was a little bit confusing in Iowa. But let’s assume it was all exactly right.”

Donald Trump responded, “If he can’t handle a simple question from one of his own supporters, how can Joe Biden possibly take on Donald Trump one on one for six months? #NewHampshirePrimary.”
Newsmax host John Cardillo responded, “Weirdest part about the Biden soundbite, the way it rolled off his tongue. She not the first ‘lyin’ dog-faced pony soldier’ he’s come across.”
Campus Reform Editor in Chief Cabot Phillips responded,: “Joe Biden is competing with Joe Biden to see who can lose supporters faster. Joe Biden is winning.”
Another Twitter user commented, “Getting reports that Joe Biden’s campaign has entered the self-parody stage of its downward spiral.”
