WATCH: Hillary Clinton Tells Dems You ‘Can’t Be Civil’ With The Republican Party

In a shocking affirmation of Democratic activists’ anti-Brett Kavanaugh strategy, Hillary Clinton told CNN’s Christine Amanpour in an interview that it is impossible to “be civil” with the Republican Party, and peace will only return to the political process when Democrats regain control of the House and Senate.

“You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” Clinton told the CNN anchor.

“That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.” she continued.

Clinton seems to have tuned out the last two weeks, when Republicans prevailed over an attempt to smear a Supreme Court nominee with specious sexual assault charges, and then confirmed Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court amid hysterical protests and calls to disrupt and harass Republican political figures.

She also seems to note that “peace” is a ransom for Democratic votes: if you prefer a more genteel political process, you’ll give in to demands and replace the party she and activists disagree with with the one they support.

Clinton may be issuing a renewed plea to the far left to cement her as the leader of the anti-Trump “Resistance,” a position she’s wanted since losing the 2016 Presidential election to Donald Trump. But by explicitly endorsing “incivility” — a tactic that’s resulted in Republicans being chased out of restaurants and routinely threatened with bodily harm — Clinton runs the risk of being responsible when lefty activists take her advice.
