Speaking at a pro-abortion #StopTheBans rally, Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono boasted of speaking to a group of eighth-grade students at a public school in Hawaii, and how she indoctrinated them into a pro-abortion point of view. Hirono stated:
Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, are you listening? I just met eighth-graders at a public school in Hawaii, and I told them I was coming for a rally in front of the Supreme Court, and they said, “Why?” And I said it’s because we have to fight for abortion rights, and they knew all about it. And I asked the girls of that group of eighth-graders, “How many of you girls think the government should be telling us women, when and if we wanna have babies? And not a single one of them raised their hands. (Applause) The boys who were there … I said, “you know, it’s kind of hard for a woman to get pregnant without you guys.” They got it. “How many of you boys think that government should be telling girls and women when and if we’re gonna have babies?” And not a single one of them raised their hands. (Applause)
Indoctrinating children to believe in the virtues of abortion has been a goal of the Left for some time. In late December 2018, an eight-minute video was released that showed “Shout Your Abortion” movement founder Amelia Bonow lauding the virtues of abortion. She told the children, “You go to the doctor, and they put this little straw inside of your cervix, and then inside of your uterus, and then they just suck the pregnancy out. And it was like a cr*ppy dentist appointment or something. It was just like, ‘This is a body thing that’s kind of uncomfortable,’ but then it was over, and I felt really just grateful that I wasn’t pregnant anymore.”
According to National Right To Life News, as far back as 2004 in a book written by Gloria Feldt, then president of Planned Parenthood, Feldt reportedly quoted Audrey Bracy Deegan, Planned Parenthood National Board, and Board of Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island, saying, “It’s going to be a long war, with changing strategies, so we have to teach our children, too, to be vigilant. The language of choice has to be part of their everyday vocabulary. That way they can’t be silenced without it feeling unnatural. It was the children that were the turning point in the South in the 60s and in Soweto. It has to be the children who are the turning point in the movement if we are ever to gain the momentum necessary to turn back the opposition.”
In February, Hirono denounced the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, saying, “The word hypocritical does even begin to cover what is happening to women and children across our country … I hope supporters of the bills that we’re talking about today, both in the states and in Congress, turn their efforts to improving the lives of the children who are very much here already and who are so poorly served by the Trump administration and its policies.”
