Florida Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum called for the formation of a confederacy on Wednesday during an appearance on CNN which drew praise from host Chris Cuomo, who said he had never “heard that before.”
Gillum’s remark came after the media portrayed Florida Republican gubernatorial nominee Ron DeSantis as a racist after he warned Florida’s voters that embracing socialism would “monkey up” the state’s economy.
