WATCH: Coulter RIPS Trump, Says He’ll Lose Midterms And Be Impeached If He Fails To Keep Promises

“If he doesn’t keep his promises, Republicans will be wiped out in the midterm elections,” said Ann Coulter on Monday as a guest on Fox Business Network with Stuart Varney. “Democrats will have the House of Representatives, and they absolutely will impeach him. It doesn’t matter, he could be purer than Caesar’s wife, they will impeach him. The left-wing base is just obsessed with that. So, Trump better keep his promises.”

Coulter’s view dissents from a narrative pushed by CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, and assorted left-wing and Democrat-aligned news outlets, in which Republicans are advised to distance themselves from Trump and join left-wing policy prescriptions from Democrats in pursuit of electoral success in 2018.

Trump’s supporters “voted for a wall, enforcement of our immigration laws, for not being the world’s policeman, for ending NAFTA,” said Coulter. “Unfortunately, we’re not getting what we voted for.”

Coulter framed the $1 trillion omnibus spending bill signed into law earlier this month as a failure:

“He was supposed to go down and be a bull in a china shop, and we’re still waiting for bull in a china shop … That budget deal, it was like a George Soros practical joke. I mean, $18 million to study misogyny in the Marines. Funding for a wall, specifically prohibited. Funding for Planned Parenthood. This isn’t what we voted for.”

Coulter rejected Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) recent blaming of Trump for political “drama,” placing responsibility for news media apoplexy at the feet of news media personalities.

“I mean, we had no choice. What were you gonna do, vote for Rubio? No. Both political parties for years and years have been pushing whatever Wall Street and the elites want. Trump was the only candidate who was going to put Americans first. I just want him to get back to his campaign promises.”

Coulter noted the declining influence of left-wing news media outlets to shape Americans’ political perceptions following the rise of the internet:

“I don’t think they had as much power as they did when they took out President Nixon. So a part of their rage is that they’re losing their power because of the internet.”
