WATCH: CNN Interviews Ted Cruz To Get His Thoughts On SEX TOYS

By  Ryan Saavedra

CNN’s Dana Bash interviewed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) Wednesday and proceeded to ask him about his views on sex toys.

“I can’t believe I’m going to ask you this, but so you’re officially saying Ted Cruz is okay with people buying sex toys?” Bash asked Cruz while smiling ear-to-ear.

Bash interviewed Cruz over a pornographic tweet that was accidentally “liked” on Cruz’s official Twitter account late Monday night, which quickly exploded on social media.

“Can you appreciate the irony that you once defended a Texas law banning sales of sex toys?” Bash asked.

Cruz immediately answered “no” before delving into how the media is taking this situation and trying to twist it into something that it’s not.

“One of those laws was a law restricting the sale of sex toys. A stupid law. Listen, I am one of the most libertarian members of the Senate. I think it is idiotic. But, it is an opportunity for knuckleheads in the media to claim, oh, isn’t this ironic that Cruz wants to ban these things,” Cruz said.

Cruz quickly turned the conversation around by pointing out how the media is obsessed with sex and just can’t let it go.

“I am saying that consenting adults should be able to do whatever they want in their bedrooms. The media and the Left seem obsessed with sex; let people do what they want,” Cruz concluded.

While he was running for president in 2016, Cruz was asked by New York’s WABC radio if he would ban sex toys from being sold if he won the presidency.

“Look, of course not, it’s a ridiculous question, and of course not,” Cruz responded. “What people do in their own private time with themselves is their own business and it’s none of government’s business.”
