Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden added some more significant gaffes to the rapidly growing list on the campaign trail Tuesday. While speaking to a group of supporters, the Democratic frontrunner demonstrated that he apparently does not know when civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated, and then proceeded to question the role that women have had in political activism.

Biden, who made the remarks during a campaign event in Urbandale, Iowa, claimed that Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. were “assassinated in the ’70s.”

Biden then said “none of you women would know this,” as he appeared to be talking about political activism in the 1960s.

This is the latest embarrassing incident for Biden in which he has demonstrated that he is not as sharp as he used to be in previous decades.

Earlier this month Biden said, “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids” before scrambling to correct the gaffe.

At another event earlier this month with a far-left gun control group, Biden falsely claimed that he was the Vice President of the United States during the Parkland shooting, which happened over a year after he left office.

A couple of other false claims that Biden has made recently in Iowa include referring to Theresa May as “Margaret Thatcher” and claiming about the Democrat Party, “We choose truth over facts.”

Biden’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden, made notable remarks about him this week, as she seemed to acknowledge that Biden’s policies were not as strong as other Democrat contenders but still asked for voters’ support.

“Your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, healthcare, than Joe is,” Jill Biden said, “but you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election, and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, ‘Okay, I personally like so-and-so better,’ but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.”
