On Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, the man-on-the-street segment once again proved that the IQ of Hollywood Boulevard side-walkers is at Forrest Gump levels.
Kimmel sent a reporter out to inform people of North Korea’s announcement of a successful testing of their very own hydrogen bomb. Then the interviewees were asked whether they wanted to send any congratulations of encouragement. They all responded cheerfully:
“You would think that the idea of North Korea having a hydrogen bomb would be somewhat alarming to those of us who are here on the West Coast, but if you say something in a cheerful manner, we Americans will offer congratulations on just about anything,” Kimmel said leading into the clip.
Praises included, “Congratulations Kim Jong-un on everything you’ve done!,” and “If you believe you can do it, then you can achieve it.”
Sadly, this is just the precursor to the inevitable segment in the not-so-distant future of people congratulating Iran on achieving their nuclear bomb “dreams.”
Exit thought by Oprah…
