An Amazon delivery driver left a hot and steamy package on the street in front of a person’s home in California on Tuesday.
The contracted female driver was caught on camera defecating in the street while delivering packages in a cul-de-sac in Sacramento, ABC 13 reported.
Amazon customer, Nemy Bautista, caught the act on camera, which appears to show the driver using the side of a marked U-Haul van as cover. Immediately afterward, the driver is seen getting back into her vehicle and taking off.
Bautista found the human waste after he returned home, and immediately called and emailed Amazon to report the incident.
It took Amazon five hours to respond. When they arrived, they did not bring the necessary supplies to clean up the mess, so Bautista was left to do it himself after they removed the droppings from the street.
“The delivery company supervisor came out in his personal car and was not prepared for cleanup,” Bautista posted on Facebook, as reported by KCRA-TV. “He was in shock when he saw the size of ‘it.’ He ended up scooping it up with a plastic bag, but didn’t want to take it with him.”
Amazon gave the following statement to KCRA-TV:
This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery service providers. This individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages and we’re in direct communication with the customer.
