Britney Spears fans are very concerned about a recent video she posted of herself dancing while wielding large kitchen knives.
The 41-year-old pop star wrote in the Instagram caption that the knives were not real, but viewers pointed out that the look and sound of the blades led them to believe that they were not props.
“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today!!!” Spears captioned the post initially. After receiving a lot of backlash, the celeb revised her message and added, “Don’t worry they are NOT real knives!!! Halloween is soon!!!”

Many were especially concerned about her multiple pet dogs, who ran away as Spears clanged the knives together while dancing around in a skimpy outfit.
“Those poor dogs just ran scared they need to be rescued and she needs HELP,” one Instagram comment said, while another added, “I’m now concerned about her having dogs let alone any animals after this video.”

Eventually, Spears deactivated comments on the post, but social media users headed to Twitter to share their thoughts.
“Look at this. The debate is over. Britney Spears is insane and can’t take care of herself. At this point we even have to ask if she could be a danger to others. For a year she’s been dancing incessantly in the exact same spot, and now she’s even waving knives around,” one person shared.
“Britney Spears Pulled out the Knives for this latest video…. She’s Absolutely MENTALLY UNSTABLE. I guess all the Free Britney Idiots won’t be satisfied until she Stabs herself or some Unlucky person near by…,” another person agreed, referencing all the fans who rallied to have the pop star released from her conservatorship.
TMZ previously reported on Spears’ alleged “fascination” with knives. The outlet reported that she kept them “all around the house—including the bedroom,” with a source saying she “was paranoid someone was going to get her, and she needed the knives as protection.”
In November 2021, a judge ruled to terminate the conservatorship Spears had been under since 2008, which was controlled by her father. Fans have been worried about the singer ever since then, as she frequently posts nude photos, rambling rants, and strange videos on social media. Some followers defend Spears, saying she’s finally free to do what she wants.
