UH-OH: New FBI Texts Reveal Andrew McCabe Might Have Kept Clinton Evidence From James Comey For ‘Weeks’

Emily Zanotti

A new report from The Wall Street Journal reveals that now-former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe may have discovered new Hillary Clinton emails on Anthony Weiner’s laptop nearly a month before alerting Congress, and perhaps even waited weeks to tell then-FBI director James Comey.

According to the WSJ, a number of text messages shared between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page — two agents under investigation for undermining both the Clinton investigation and Mueller’s inquiry into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russian officials to influence the Presidential election — show that McCabe “knew of thousands of new emails pertaining to Clinton’s private email server used at the State Department on or before September 28, 2016.”
