<p><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/twitter">Twitter</a> CEO Elon Musk announced on Twitter that he fired an employee at the company after the employee called him out publicly.</p>
<p>Musk tweeted an apology on Sunday for Twitter not being as fast as he wants it to be on the app.</p>
<p>&#8220;I’d like to apologize for Twitter being super slow in many countries,&#8221; Musk tweeted. &#8220;App is doing &gt;1000 poorly batched RPCs just to render a home timeline!&#8221;</p>
<p>Eric Frohnhoefer, an apparent employee at the company, responded to Musk, writing: &#8220;I have spent ~6yrs working on Twitter for Android and can say this is wrong.&#8221;</p>
<p>Musk responded directly to Frohnhoefer a short time later, writing: &#8220;Then please correct me. What is the right number?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Twitter is super slow on Android,&#8221; he added. &#8220;What have you done to fix that?&#8221;</p>

<p>Frohnhoefer responded to another user who said that it was a bad idea to call out Musk publicly by saying Musk &#8220;should ask questions privately&#8221; by using &#8220;Slack or email.&#8221;</p>
<p>Musk responded to another account that pointed out Frohnhoefer&#8217;s tweets by <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1592186302379982849">saying</a>, &#8220;He&#8217;s fired.&#8221;</p>
<p>Musk also slammed a tweet from a former executive at the company over the weekend who claimed that Musk was not telling the truth about how much food was costing the company.</p>
<p>The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/11/technology/elon-musk-twitter-takeover.html">reported</a> late last week that Musk had &#8220;plans to begin making employees pay for lunch — which had been free — at the company cafeteria.&#8221;</p>
<p>Musk had said that it was &#8220;bizarre&#8221; that the company was paying for the employee&#8217;s food &#8220;given that almost no one came to the office.&#8221; &#8220;Estimated cost per lunch served in past 12 months is &gt;$400,&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>Former Twitter executive Tracy Hawkins responded to Musk&#8217;s tweet by writing: &#8220;This is a lie. I ran this program up until a week ago when I resigned because I didn’t want to work for @elonmusk For breakfast &amp; lunch we spent $20-$25 a day per person. This enabled employees to work thru lunchtime &amp; mtgs. Attendance was anything from 20-50% in the offices.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;False,&#8221; Musk responded. &#8220;Twitter spends $13M/year on food service for SF HQ. Badge in records show peak occupancy was 25%, average occupancy below 10%. There are more people preparing breakfast than eating breakfast. They don’t even bother serving dinner, because there is no one in the building.&#8221;</p>
