<p>Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson interviewed a man on his show this week who claims that he used drugs and had sexual relations with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/barack-obama" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Barack Obama</a> before Obama was president.</p>
<p>Carlson&#8217;s interview of Larry Sinclair — who has been <a href="https://www.politico.com/story/2008/06/obama-accuser-has-long-rap-sheet-011164" target="_blank" rel="noopener">convicted</a> and served significant time in jail for crimes involving deceit, and who reportedly did not pass a polygraph test administered in response to his allegations involving Obama — comes after recent reports <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/obama-fantasized-about-making-love-to-men-in-letter-to-his-girlfriend-his-biographer-says" target="_blank" rel="noopener">highlighted</a> that Obama wrote in letters to an ex-girlfriend that he sexually fantasized about men.</p>
<p>The interview was featured on X, formerly known as Twitter, where Carlson releases videos of interviews he conducts with various figures.</p>

<p>The post of the interview has garnered tens of millions of views and has prompted both praise and criticism. The interview has racked up more than 150,000 &#8220;likes,&#8221; even while some prominent figures online, including some close to Carlson, have questioned the credibility of Sinclair and the veracity of his claims.</p>
<p>X owner Elon Musk, who frequently promotes content created by Carlson, <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1699660982677594422" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweeted</a> that he thought Sinclair was &#8220;not super convincing.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Of course, the probability that his claims are true would have to rest on objective evidence, rather than claims made by someone with a dubious history,&#8221; Musk <a href="https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1699553238129754170" target="_blank" rel="noopener">added</a>.</p>
<p>Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who appeared on Carlson&#8217;s show in the <a href="https://twitter.com/TuckerCarlson/status/1697378139729539549">episode</a> prior to Sinclair, called the guest &#8220;the least trustworthy human&#8221; he has ever known.</p>

<p>&#8220;I met Larry Sinclair when I was doing my Tucker thing a couple weeks ago. I&#8217;d say his story has 0.0% of being true and that&#8217;s generous.&#8221;</p>
<p>For his part, Carlson presented the interview as a chance to let Sinclair fully voice the claims he made first some fifteen years ago — claims largely dismissed and buried by the legacy press — tweeting to his 10 million followers, &#8220;Assess for yourself.&#8221;</p>
