<p>Former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> delivered a scathing review of the annual <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/white-house-correspondents-dinner" target="_blank" rel="noopener">White House Correspondents’ Dinner</a> (WHCD) that took place on Saturday evening in Washington, D.C.</p>
<p>The &#8220;Nerd Prom,&#8221; as the WHCD is known, featured quips targeted at Trump delivered by President Joe Biden and the event&#8217;s headliner, &#8220;Saturday Night Live&#8221; star Colin Jost, while anti-Israel protesters <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/protesters-swarm-white-house-correspondents-dinner-drape-massive-palestinian-flag-from-hotel-window" target="_blank" rel="noopener">swarmed the streets</a> outside of the swanky affair.</p>
<p>&#8220;The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was really bad. Colin Jost BOMBED, and Crooked Joe was an absolute disaster! Doesn’t get much worse than this!&#8221; Trump said in a <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/112347103611008954" target="_blank" rel="noopener">post</a> to his Truth Social platform.</p>

<p>During his <a href="https://twitter.com/cspan/status/1784563464679346189" target="_blank" rel="noopener">remarks</a>, Biden took repeated jabs at Trump, calling him &#8220;Sleepy Don&#8221; and alluding to the former president&#8217;s ongoing <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/apr/28/stormy-weather-biden-skewers-trump-at-white-house-correspondents-dinner" target="_blank" rel="noopener">legal battles</a>. In addition, Biden used a quip to make light of voter <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nbc-news-unpacks-erosion-of-public-confidence-in-biden-on-a-number-of-critical-fronts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">concerns</a> about his age — 81 — to knock his political rival.</p>

<p>&#8220;The 2024 election is in full swing and, yes, age is an issue. I&#8217;m a grown man running against a 6-year-old,&#8221; Biden said. &#8220;Well I feel great. I really feel great.&#8221;</p>
<p>Biden also sought to convey a more serious message concerning Trump allegedly being a threat to democracy and warning about &#8220;disinformation.&#8221; At the same time, Biden urged the media to <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2024/04/27/biden_to_media_im_not_asking_you_to_take_sides_im_asking_you_to_rise_up_to_the_seriousness_of_the_moment.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&#8220;rise up&#8221;</a> to the moment and uttered a series of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-complains-about-disinformation-while-spreading-disinformation-at-whcd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">partial truths and out-of-context quotes</a>.</p>
<p>Jost used his time at the podium to tell jokes as well, including one <a href="https://twitter.com/bennyjohnson/status/1784420119608697256" target="_blank" rel="noopener">directed</a> at Biden and his struggles to maintain the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-bleeding-support-from-black-men-in-crucial-swing-states-wsj-poll-finds" target="_blank" rel="noopener">support</a> of black voters in the run-up to the 2024 election.</p>
<p>&#8220;My &#8216;Weekend Update&#8217; co-anchor Michael Che was going to join me here tonight but in solidarity with President Biden I decided to lose all my black support,&#8221; he said.</p>

<p>Toward the end of his remarks, Jost got sentimental as he spoke about his late grandfather William Kelly, who was a firefighter in Staten Island, supporting Biden in the 2020 election.</p>
