<p>Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) said in an interview this week that literally hundreds of Democrat U.S. lawmakers are apprehensive about President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> being the party&#8217;s nominee heading into the 2024 presidential race, but that they are too afraid to say anything.</p>
<p>Phillips&#8217; remarks come after multiple polls have found that Democrat voters do not want Biden to be the party&#8217;s nominee again for a variety of reasons, including unfavorable economic conditions, skyrocketing inflation rates, disastrous foreign policy decisions, and the general view among some that he is too old and not mentally fit for office.</p>
<p>“This is not a knock on Joe Biden, just a wish for competition,” Phillips <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2023/02/joe-biden-2024-election-democrat-candidates/673212/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> The Atlantic. “In the business world, if the dominant brand in a category had favorability ratings like the current president does, you would see a number of established brands jump into that category. Believe me, there are literally hundreds in Congress who would say the same thing. But they simply won’t f***ing say a word.”</p>
<p>The remarks also come after Biden has continued to show his age in recent weeks, including <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-biden-falls-while-walking-up-steps-to-air-force-one" target="_blank" rel="noopener">falling</a> on the stairs of Air Force one while visiting Europe this month.</p>
<p>This latest incident of Biden falling comes after White House physician Kevin O’Connor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/white-house-doctor-claims-biden-fit-to-serve-as-president-despite-no-cognitive-test" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> last week that Biden was “a healthy, vigorous 80-year-old male who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief.”</p>
<p>Biden’s fall comes two years after he <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-biden-falls-while-walking-up-steps-to-get-on-air-force-one" target="_blank" rel="noopener">repeatedly</a> fell while walking up the steps to Air Force One as he was preparing to go to Atlanta to visit with community leaders following an incident that happened in the city.</p>

<p>The incident in March 2021 happened just a few months after he fell and fractured his foot while he was allegedly chasing one of his dogs after he got out of the shower. Biden fell last summer while straddling his bicycle as he stood still on the road and tried to talk to reporters.</p>
