Former President Donald Trump told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night that he didn’t think it was “possible” for President Joe Biden to make it through another campaign in 2024.
The former president, in his first interview since he was indicted in Manhattan, spoke to the popular Fox News host on a wide range of topics — and top of mind for both Trump and Carlson was the 2024 presidential race, which for some has already begun.
Carlson asked Trump what he thought about the potential for a rematch in 2024, pitting 2020 opponents Trump and Biden against each other once again — and the former president said he wasn’t sure the White House’s current occupant was up to the challenge.

Carlson posed the question simply, asking, “Do you think Biden will stay in the race?”
“Look, I watch him just like you do, and I think it’s almost inappropriate for me to say it,” Trump replied. “I don’t see how it’s possible … but there’s something wrong.”
Trump went on to reference a strange interaction between Biden and NBC meteorologist Al Roker — when Biden deflected a direct question about his potential reelection bid and instead began talking about rolling Easter eggs and “pushing them out.”
“I saw his answer today, on television, about whether or not he was going to run, to a very nice guy named Al Roker,” Trump continued. “You can’t get a softer question than that. That was a long answer, talking about the eggs and the this and that … look, I don’t think he can.”
Trump also weighed in on the potential threats against the United States, and he argued that the greatest threat would likely come from within.

Explaining that he had been asked about where the biggest threats were, Trump added, “‘Who’s the biggest problem, Sir? Is it China? Could it be Russia? Could it be North Korea?’ ‘No,’ I said. The biggest problem is from within. It’s these sick, radical people from within. Because we can handle — if we’re smart — we can handle Russia, China. I did.”
