<p>The hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; spent part of a Tuesday segment discussing whether or not former President Donald Trump should spend some time &#8220;in the clink&#8221; — and if so, where they would like to see him serve his time.</p>
<p>The conversation came on the heels of a warning from Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan, who has repeatedly fined the former president for violating a gag order in his ongoing hush money trial and threatened him with jail time if he persists.</p>
<p>Trump responded to the warning by saying that it might be <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-suggests-hes-willing-to-face-jail-time-over-gag-order-our-constitution-is-much-more-important" target="_blank" rel="noopener">worth it</a> to let the court throw him in jail – and the hosts of &#8220;The View&#8221; appeared to be on board with that plan.</p>

<p>Former federal prosecutor Sunny Hostin weighed in first, comparing Trump&#8217;s hush money trial to the late O.J. Simpson&#8217;s murder trial and arguing that Judge Merchan could not lose control of his courtroom — the way she thought Judge Lance Ito had — or let Trump &#8220;be a runaway train in that courtroom.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s not his courtroom, it&#8217;s the judge&#8217;s courtroom,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And so I think, to make a point — to prove a point — put him in the clink! Why not? Put him in the clink.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;If &#8230; I don&#8217;t want this to sound like I&#8217;m doing wishful thinking &#8230; but which prison would be best?&#8221; Whoopi Goldberg asked, prompting laughter from the audience.</p>

<p>&#8220;I know which one,&#8221; Hostin waved her hands and practically bounced out of her seat in excitement. &#8220;Rikers!&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s what I got for number one,&#8221; Goldberg laughed as Hostin continued to dance in her chair. &#8220;Rikers. But you know, I&#8217;m okay if he goes to Alcatraz and they reopen it. [laughter] What about &#8230; Guantanamo Bay?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;That&#8217;d be close to Mar-a-Lago,&#8221; co-host Ana Navarro said. &#8220;Melania can come and visit.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;What about Supermax?&#8221; Goldberg asked, noting that former Sinaloa cartel leader &#8220;El Chapo&#8221; had been held at the Supermax facility in Colorado and could be a potential cellmate for Trump.</p>
