The two Las Vegas teens accused of running over and killing a retired police chief were seen laughing and allegedly flipping off the victim’s family in court this week.

Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16, appeared for a hearing in Clark County court on Tuesday.

Both teens are facing murder charges after a disturbing video that went viral showed the pair filming themselves driving into a cyclist.

The distressing, graphic video of the killing shows the teen driver speeding up behind 64-year-old Andreas “Andy” Probst, a former police chief, while he was on his morning bike ride around 6 a.m. on August 14.

In court on Tuesday, the teens initially sat down covering their faces, attempting to hide from the cameras.

Later, they could be seen smiling, giggling while covering their mouths, and conversing with each other.

Ayala also pointed his middle finger toward the victim’s widow, Crystal Probst, she told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

At one point, Ayala’s public defender, David Westbrook, appeared to be laughing alongside the teen in the courtroom, according to video from KTNV.

The teens were also caught on video smirking at the victim’s family as they left the courtroom.

The victim’s family later slammed the teens’ behavior in court.

“How can you sit there after taking a man’s life, and act like such an entitled p***k?” Taylor Probst, Probst’s 27-year-old daughter, told the press outside the courthouse. “They really had no remorse, that this is just a game to them.”

Bodycam footage from Ayala’s arrest also showed the teen saying he bet he would be out in 30 days.

“You think this juvenile [expletive] gonna do something? I’ll be out in like 30 days, watch. I’ll bet you,” Ayala told the officer while sitting in the back of the patrol car.

Initially, the teen who was driving the car was arrested on suspicion of a hit and run, but since the video of the killing came to light, both teens were charged with murder and are being tried as adults.

In the video, the driver can be heard saying “Ready?” to his friend in the passenger seat, who is laughing and filming.

“Yeah, get his a**,” the passenger responds.

The car then mows down the former police chief, who is thrown onto the windshield, cracking it and sending glass shards flying into the car. He tumbles over the car before landing on the ground several feet away from his bike.

Authorities said the pair of teens had been on a crime spree that morning, which included stealing at least four cars and hitting a 72-year-old man a half hour earlier that left him with non-life-threatening injuries.

Before he was killed, Probst was a 35-year law enforcement veteran and headed the police force in Bell, California, before retiring in 2009 and moving to Las Vegas.
