&#8220;I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now,” Adele continued. “I want to live my life that I&#8217;ve been building and I will miss you terribly.&#8221;
The “Rolling In The Deep” hitmaker officially kicked off her Vegas residency in November 2022 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with it set to wrap in March of 2023. 
She then announced a second leg of the residency from June 2023 through November that year, before the third leg was made official, with dates originally running from Jan. 2024 through June 2024.
However, due to illnesses and cancellations the final part of her residency will now wrap up this November with 10 final shows, running from October 25 to November 23, the outlet noted.
Earlier this year, Adele announced that due to an ongoing illness that has “taken a toll” on her voice and she had to postpone her Caesar residency, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/its-all-taken-a-toll-adele-postpones-las-vegas-residency-due-to-illness">reported</a>.
“Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency,” the superstar singer’s post read in February. “I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break.”
“I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice,” she added. “And so on doctors&#8217; orders I have no choice but to rest thoroughly.”
“The remaining 5 weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date,” Adele continued. “We are already working out the details and you will be sent the information asap.”

A former Democrat Clark County, Nevada, public administrator was found guilty on Wednesday of murdering longtime Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/murder-in-sin-city-the-death-of-a-las-vegas-investigative-reporter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jeff German</a> in September of 2022.
After three days of deliberation, the jury returned a guilty verdict in the trial of 47-year-old Robert Telles, who is now convicted of stabbing German to death after the reporter wrote about scandals within Telles&#8217; office before he lost a primary election in June 2022, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/28/us/robert-telles-trial-murder-vegas-reporter/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. German had spent years covering the corruption within Las Vegas politics, but the story that ultimately led to his murder focused on a little-known public office, prosecutors said.

German, who had spent 40 years in journalism, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/police-search-home-of-democrat-official-in-connection-to-journalists-murder" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> in May 2022 that multiple employees who worked with Telles alleged that he created a &#8220;hostile work environment.&#8221; German&#8217;s report also claimed that Telles had an &#8220;inappropriate&#8221; relationship with a staffer. Prosecutors said during the trial that surveillance video taken outside of German&#8217;s home showed a man wearing a large sunhat, orange jacket, and gray Nike sneakers waiting in the bushes before stabbing the reporter when he got home. The suspect left in a maroon SUV that was later found to belong to Telles. Police also executed a search warrant and found a large sunhat and gray Nike sneakers that were cut up and hidden, according to prosecutors.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Pamela Weckerly said during closing arguments on Monday that Telles &#8220;was clearly incredibly upset that those articles were written and that it resulted in him losing that primary.&#8221;
Telles testified during the trial and claimed that his former colleagues, a real estate company, and police hired an assassin to kill German and frame him. Telles&#8217; attorney Robert Draskovich did not endorse his client&#8217;s theory, saying, &#8220;It’s understandable why he believes this wide-reaching conspiracy. What other options does he have under these circumstances?”

Jeff was killed for doing the kind of work in which he took great pride: His reporting held an elected official accountable for bad behavior and empowered voters to choose someone else for the job.&#8221;

Harris <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/before-kamala-harris-copied-trumps-pledge-to-scrap-the-tip-tax-biden-harris-admin-moved-to-enforce-tip-taxation?topStoryPosition=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">made headlines</a> over the weekend after she said she would eliminate taxes on tips if elected president at a rally in Las Vegas, a policy first proposed by Trump two months ago. 
“Kamala Harris has flip-flopped on virtually every policy she has supported and lived by for her entire career, from the Border to Tips, and the Fake News Media isn’t reporting it,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Monday. “She sounds more like Trump than Trump, copying almost everything. She is conning the American public, and will flip right back. I will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! There will be no flipping!!!”
Trump first proposed stopping taxing tips in June, also at a rally in Las Vegas.
“So this is the first time I’ve said this, and for those hotel workers and people that get tips, you’re going to be very happy because when I get to office, we are going to not charge taxes on tips, on people making tips,” Trump said at the rally. “And I think it’s going to be something that is deserved — more importantly — popular or unpopular, I do some unpopular things too, if it’s right for the country, I do what’s right.&#8221;

Trump also ripped into Harris&#8217;s recent narrative that she is tough on border security. One of her <a href="https://www.newsnationnow.com/politics/2024-election/kamala-harris-border-claims-ad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">new ads</a> claims that she supported “the toughest border control bill in decades&#8221; and refers to her as a “border state prosecutor.”
“Kamala Harris was put in sole charge of the Border,” Trump said on Monday. “It quickly became the WORST AND MOST DANGEROUS BORDER IN HISTORY. As President, Harris will completely DESTROY OUR COUNTRY!”
Republicans have pushed back, pointing to the record number of illegal immigrants who have entered the country during the Biden-Harris administration and her reported role as Biden’s “border czar.”
Trump currently maintains a narrow lead in five of the seven key battleground polls, <a href="https://www.realclearpolling.com/elections/president/2024/battleground-states" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the most recent average of polling. Harris has narrow leads in both Wisconsin and Michigan.

The Biden administration announced a new program to “improve tip reporting compliance” to the IRS more than a year before Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign promised to eliminate tip taxes.
The IRS and Treasury departments <a href="https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-introduces-new-service-industry-tip-reporting-program" target="_blank" rel="noopener">introduced</a> a new tip reporting program last year called the Service Industry Tip Compliance Agreement (SITCA) program. The stated goal of the program is to “improve tip reporting compliance.”
“The proposed SITCA program is designed to take advantage of advancements in point-of-sale, time and attendance systems, and electronic payment settlement methods to improve tip reporting compliance,” the IRS stated in a February 2023 announcement. “The proposed program would also decrease taxpayer and IRS administrative burdens and provide more transparency and certainty to taxpayers.”
The program is currently optional for employers to enroll, but the program’s intent is to become the “sole tip reporting compliance program for employers in various service industries” and eliminate several other tip reporting processes, according to the IRS.
Harris announced on Saturday that, should she win the White House in 2024, she would eliminate taxes on tips. She made the pledge during a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday.
“It is my promise to everyone here, when I am president we will continue our fight for working families of America, including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” Harris promised the crowd.

Harris’ proposal came roughly two months after former president Donald Trump promised the same reform at a rally in the same city, Las Vegas, which has sizable service and hospitality industries to support its gambling and entertainment businesses.
Trump responded to Harris’ announcement in a post on Truth Social, calling the Harris pledge a an idea stolen from the Trump campaign.

The body of a man who disappeared during an avalanche on Peru’s highest mountain has been found, 22 years later.
Bill Stampfl was climbing Peru’s 22,000-foot tall mountain, Huascaran, in 2002 when an avalanche struck, CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/bill-stampfl-body-found-american-climber-vanished-2002-family-reacts-peru/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. His family knew that he was likely dead, but without a body, they could never know for sure.
Stampfl’s daughter, Jennifer, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/10/world/americas/mountain-peru-avalanche-body-found.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> The New York Times that she had largely accepted her father’s death but still had dreams that he was alive in Peru with amnesia and unaware of his family back in the U.S.
Stampfl’s son, Joseph, recently received a phone call from a stranger, Ryan Cooper, saying that he had found Stampfl’s body while climbing Huascaran. Cooper explained that he had found Stampfl’s body frozen but mostly intact.
&#8220;It was so out of left field. We talk about my dad, we think about him all the time,&#8221; Joseph told CBS. &#8220;You just never think you are going to get that call.&#8221;
Joseph soon called his sister to deliver the news.
“He told me that they found Dad,” she told the Times. “And I said, ‘What?’”
On June 27, Cooper and a group of climbers were making their way back down Huascaran when they saw a dark shape sitting atop the snow. He told the Times that as they approached, they realized they had discovered a body that was curled into a defensive position as if the person was trying to shield themself from an avalanche.
Cooper told the Times that the body was sitting atop the ice. “Not like half of him was under the ice or anything — he was on top of the ice,” he told the outlet.
Cooper added that the body appeared mummified, and it was clear it had been on the mountain for a “really long time.” The climbers checked a fanny pack on the body and found Stampfl’s still-legible ID card and passport. Cooper and his brother, the only two Americans in the group of climbers, decided to track down Stampfl’s family to deliver the news.
“He still had his wedding ring on his finger,” he said, “So I knew he was married, and I knew he probably had a family and somebody was expecting him home at some point. And he didn’t come home.”
Cooper told the Times that it was a coincidence they found Stampfl’s body. They couldn’t make it to the top of the mountain due to weather conditions, so they decided to take a rarely used older route down, which is how they found the body.
Cooper told the outlet he was initially disappointed about failing to reach the mountain’s summit.
“But after things worked out the way that they did, I realized I wasn’t meant to summit,” he said. “I was meant to find Bill.”
Before Cooper had even descended the mountain, he contacted his wife in Las Vegas to begin tracking down Stampfl’s family. Two days later, Cooper was on the phone with Joseph.
Stampfl&#8217;s body was recovered and is set to be cremated before being returned to his family. His wife, Janet, told CBS she is happy to bring her husband home.
&#8220;We all just dearly loved my husband. He was one of a kind,&#8221; she told the outlet. &#8220;We&#8217;re very grateful we can bring his body home to rest.&#8221;

A video of the incident quickly went viral on social media after it was <a href="https://x.com/SkyNews/status/1797209291239387292">shared</a> Sunday by Sky News. The clip showed the “Someone Like You” singer addressing the concertgoer from the stage of her Las Vegas residency on June 1, the first day of “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pride-month">Pride Month</a>.”
The fan had reportedly yelled out, “Pride sucks,” which is what prompted Adele to respond in anger. However, another fan posted a video of the alleged heckler, claiming he had actually said, “Work sucks.”

Adele then brushed her hair off her shoulder dramatically as many concertgoers started cheering and clapping.
A second video shows another moment during the event when the Grammy Award-winning star addressed the fan again. “Happy Pride,” she said, pointing in the direction of the person who yelled out. “Not to you, though.”
This isn’t the first time the British singer voiced her support for the LGBT community. In 2016, she spoke through tears about the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando.
“I would like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando at Pulse nightclub,” Adele told the crowd. “The LGBTQ community, they’re like my soulmates since I was really young, so I’m really moved by it.”
The singer frequently uses profanity to make her point when addressing the crowd. After several high-profile performers were hit by fans throwing projectiles onto the stage, Adele <a href="https://x.com/PopCrave/status/1676222808676761600">issued</a> a stern warning to anyone attending her shows.

Parents expressed their frustration on social media over a disastrous event for <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/children">children</a> at a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/las-vegas">Las Vegas</a> restaurant on May 11.
The venue Dirt Dog advertised an unofficial character meet and greet with Bluey, a massively popular animated dog from the Australian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/television">TV series</a> of the same name. The original event description promised that attendees could “Watch Bluey all day” and also participate in face painting, games, a Bluey giveaway, and enjoy &#8220;sweet treats.&#8221;
Dirt Dog also said kids had a chance to meet “Bluey and friends.”
Parents headed to social media to complain about the poorly organized event, saying the restaurant ran out of refreshments almost immediately. They also noted that the Bluey character in attendance was nothing more than a man with a visible beard dressed in “Bluey pajamas.”
One mom on Facebook posted a photo of a different event she attended with a costumed Bluey character as a comparison.
“DO NOT GO! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!! Pic on the left (someone else’s photo) is what kids are waiting for at Dirt Dog. That’s what we were expecting. There are far better costumes out there. Pic on right was taken at Trunk r Treat event we took our kids to in the Silverton parking lot, they had going on last October,” she <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/736296668704370/?active_tab=discussion">shared</a>.
“That’s what we were expecting. There are far better costumes out there. What a shame they got all those kids hopes up,” the Facebook user added.
Another mom who attended the event <a href="https://www.fox5vegas.com/2024/05/14/parents-outraged-by-massive-event-featuring-amateur-bluey-restaurant-apologizes/">told</a> FOX5 Las Vegas, “The kids were distraught. Some kids were crying. Some kids were upset, crying in [sic] their parents’ shoulders.”

“How could you do that to little kids: advertise something so fun and eventful for kids ranging from toddlers to six, seven years old, and not actually follow through with it? It was a very upsetting moment to see so many kids, especially my daughter, just really upset,” attendee Stephanie Hernandez continued.
The outlet noted that the venue baked 125 cupcakes for the event and was surprised by the turnout, despite more than 3,000 people responding to the event notice on Facebook. Dirt Dog’s marketing spokesperson told FOX5 that a high number of Facebook responders doesn’t always equate to a high turnout.
“We expected like maybe 50 to 60 people &#8211; not in the sense of like the whole city coming out. Just now knowing who Bluey is, we would have planned ahead and would have had security,” Taj Wilder told the outlet.
The restaurant responded to the backlash with a follow-up social media post.
“We are truly sorry this event wasn’t to standard. We will work on improving all of events going forward so we can bring you the highest quality as you all deserve. We appreciate everyone taking the time to send us your feedback,” they wrote on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/DirtDogLV">Facebook</a>.

House Republicans <a href="https://homeland.house.gov/2024/04/30/new-documents-reveal-airports-used-by-secretary-mayorkas-to-fly-hundreds-of-thousands-of-inadmissible-aliens-into-u-s-via-chnv-mass-parole-scheme/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> data on Tuesday showing where hundreds of thousands of inadmissible foreign nationals have flown into the United States after being authorized to travel into the country by the Biden administration under its &#8220;mass parole&#8221; system. 
Under the Department of Homeland Security’s Processes for Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan (CHNV) parole <a href="https://www.uscis.gov/CHNV" target="_blank" rel="noopener">program</a>, the Biden administration has approved over 404,000 foreign nationals from those countries for entry into the United States. The program ostensibly allows people from these countries to be paroled into the United States to work for up to two years for “humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.” Beneficiaries of the program also need to &#8220;arrange and fund their own travel,&#8221; according to DHS. 
Documents obtained by Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee show that paroled individuals flew into 50 different airports, primarily in the United States. The top two airport destinations were in Florida, according to the documents. 
Over 91,000 people flew into Miami, while over 60,000 were flown into Fort Lauderdale. Other top airport locations included New York City (14,827), Houston (7,923), Orlando (6,043), Los Angeles (3,271), Tampa (3,237), Dallas (2,256), San Francisco (2,052), Atlanta (1,796), Newark (1,498), Washington, D.C. (1,472), Chicago (496), Las Vegas (483), and Austin (171).
Other people flew into Hawaii, the Bahamas, Ireland, Canada, and the Virgin Islands. The numbers only include data from January 2023 until August 2023. 
DHS told the committee that the people approved for the program were technically inadmissible. “All individuals paroled into the United States are, by definition, inadmissible, including those paroled under the CHNV Processes,” the department said. 
“Secretary Mayorkas’ CHNV parole program is an unlawful sleight of hand used to hide the worsening border crisis from the American people. Implementing a program that allows otherwise inadmissible aliens to fly directly into the U.S. — not for significant public benefit or urgent humanitarian reasons as the Immigration and Nationality Act mandates — has been proven an impeachable offense,” said Homeland Security Committee Chair Mark Green (R-TN). 
At the same time, DHS has been flying paroled individuals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, over half of illegal crossings at the southern border during fiscal year 2023 were from those countries, according to the committee.

Frontman Bono dedicated the song “All I Want Is You” from the 1988 U2 album &#8220;Rattle and Hum&#8221; to Mrs. Biden, who was in attendance.
“This song, when we wrote it, I tried to write the lyrics from the point of view of the woman or the bride, in this case, which is pretty arrogant, I suppose. That was a trick for me to get to the lyric I was playing on myself,” Bono said. 
“Tonight, I want to dedicate it to all the great women in our lives — our partners, our mothers, our daughters, all the women on the U2 crew, all the great women in our audience that we feel we know, and all the great women in parts of the world going through very difficult circumstances that we could never know. And one woman in particular who is with us tonight, she’s a teacher. She’s your first lady, so this is for Jill Biden.”
At another point in the show, Bono mentioned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, which he’s been doing on stage since Navalny’s death was announced last month.

The band has played 40 shows at the visually stunning music and entertainment arena beginning in September. U2 was commemorating one of its most successful records, “Achtung Baby” (1991), by playing the album in its entirety along with other selected tracks from the band&#8217;s catalog.
During the performance, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bono">Bono</a> welcomed the album’s producer, Daniel Lanois, to the stage. He also made mention of drummer Larry Mullen Jr., who was in the audience but unable to play due to his recent neck surgery. 
“The rumors that Larry will be playing with us tonight are not true, sadly. But he is here with us,” Bono said of Mullen Jr. “That is the man who pinned the note on the notice board at Mount Temple Comprehensive School all those years ago. In a post on Tuesday on <a href="https://x.com/Adele/status/1762637287442334150?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">X</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C33waGtPcfV/">Instagram</a>, the 35-year-old singer wrote that she loves her fans and will miss them &#8220;like mad&#8221; as she takes time off to recover after getting sick not once but twice in the last few months.
&#8220;Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency,&#8221; the superstar singer&#8217;s post read. &#8220;I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break.&#8221;

Adele officially kicked off her Vegas residency in November 2022 through March 2023, after team members coming down with COVID-19 and production delays prevented an earlier start date, the outlet noted. She then announced a second leg of the residency at Caesars Palace that ran from June 2023 through November, before the third leg was made official, with dates running from Jan. 2024 through June.

“Outer Banks” actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Austin North</a> is speaking out on an incident in which he allegedly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/crime">attacked</a> hospital employees while he was being treated in the emergency room. 
The 27-year-old star was arrested on Tuesday following the altercation at the University Medical Center hospital in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/las-vegas">Las Vegas</a>, according to a report from <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2024/02/15/outer-banks-austin-north-arrested-vegas-attack-hospital-emergency-room/">TMZ</a>. Several hospital staffers were involved in the alleged altercation, and North was taken into custody on charges of assault and battery, the outlet noted.
The “Outer Banks” cast member addressed the incident with an Instagram post shared to his Stories on Thursday.
&#8220;I am deeply upset by the events that took place in Las Vegas this past week,” North wrote, per <a href="https://people.com/outer-banks-star-austin-north-speaks-out-after-arrest-alleged-attack-vegas-hospital-employees-8584009">People</a>. “My friend drove me to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. Several tests were taken, including blood, which came back negative for any drugs or alcohol in my system. I was having a severe anxiety attack.&#8221;
&#8220;I have very little memory of the events that day at the hospital,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;I have the utmost respect for healthcare workers and hospital staff. I have battled anxiety on and off for years and this was the most extreme panic attack I&#8217;ve ever had. Going forward, I hope to shed light on this debilitating disorder and send hope to those who have also struggled.&#8221;
The actor allegedly punched one nurse in the head, shoved another, and then pushed a phlebotomist into a table. The phlebotomist reportedly hit North in the head with a tray from a nearby table in self defense, a police report said according to People.
Hospital security was able to handcuff North to a gurney until law enforcement arrived, though he allegedly assaulted another unidentified hospital employee before he was restrained.
