TJ Khayatan, a 17-year-old prankster from the Bay Area, decided to created his own exhibit at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art after he and his friends toured the gallery and were unimpressed by the work displayed.
Khayatan took his glasses off and placed them on the floor next to a wall as if it were an art piece to be appreciated. To his and his friends’ surprise people actually fell for it.
TJ’s tweet about the event below…
Khayatan told Buzfeed that when they got to the museum they were puzzled by some of the exhibits. “We stumbled upon a stuffed animal on a gray blanket and questioned if this was really impressive to some of the nearby people,” he told website.
It was at that moment the teens decided to put the glasses on the floor and quickly walked away to see people’s reaction. Immediately onlookers started gathering around the “art exhibit” so TJ and his friends took pictures of them contemplating its meaning…

TJ and his friends tried other things such as using a hat as an exhibit and repurposing a nearby trashcan but none had the effect that the glasses had…
