Taylor Swift fans in Argentina are going to great lengths to ensure they get good seats for her show, including camping outside for months ahead of the performance.

The pop star just concluded the United States leg of her “Eras” tour, which ran from March 17 through August 9. According to Today, ticket sales exceeded $1 billion and boosted the economy in every city the tour went through. The movie version of the show has brought in a record-breaking $200 million as well.

Now the tour is going worldwide, and those fans are preparing for Swift’s arrival. Some fans set up camp tents near the Estadio River Plate stadium in an attempt to score the best possible seats when the show arrives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 9, 10, and 11.

“We’ve been in this tent for five months,” a 21-year-old fan who wished to remain anonymous told Pitchfork. “I usually tell my dad I’m at a park drinking mate with somebody, or visiting a friend of mine who lives near the stadium.”

The outlet noted that fans have been living in four tents outside the stadium, taking turns in organized rotations. Two organizers created a spreadsheet to keep track of total time spent, giving the best chances of being first in line to the people who have been there the longest.

Pitchfork noted that most campers are young women and that no one under 18 is allowed.

“The fact that there are so many people makes things easier,” a fan named Irina said. “We all have different schedules, and you fit yours amongst them.”

One fan said there’s been backlash from the public, who aren’t shy about expressing their opinions to the campers.

“People are very upset with us camping for some reason,” one fan named Carmen said. “Sometimes you’re lying down, and you hear someone scream ‘Go to work!’ at 2 a.m. It’s like, ‘You’re the one who’s outside of a tent shouting at 2 in the morning — aren’t you supposed to work tomorrow? Does it really affect you that much? I’m the one who’s sleeping on the street, not you.”

Swift performed four concerts in Mexico City in late August before taking a break. After heading to Argentina, the singer will stop in Brazil for three shows in Rio de Janeiro and three in São Paulo later in November.

The tour will take another break, then will stop in Tokyo in February 2024 before continuing to Australia, England, France, Canada, Spain, Portugal, and more next year.
