Subway is willing to award one superfan free sandwiches for life if they’re willing to get inked with the brand’s new logo.
The promotion corresponds with a block party event happening Wednesday in Las Vegas at Bad Apple Tattoo. Per the press release, the first person in line to get a permanent 12″ by 12″ tattoo of the brand’s new Subway Series logo on their sternum or back will be rewarded with free sandwiches for life. This will come in the form of $50,000 worth of gift cards.
Other Subway enthusiasts who aren’t afraid to express their love can sign up for smaller tattoos that also come with perks. Anyone who gets a 3″ by 3″ tattoo of the new logo on their shoulder blade, forearm, or calf will be given free sandwiches for one year, awarded as $4,380 worth of gift cards.
Fans who opt for the smaller 2” x 2” logo tattoo on their wrist, bicep, or foot will receive free sandwiches for a month, awarded as a $372 gift card.
The company is giving away one top prize and eight others who opt for the smaller tattoos.
Famous tattoo artist and “Ink Master” reality show winner DJ Tambe or a member of his team at Bad Apple Tattoo will be doing the tattoos between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m PT. There are no reservations, and the tattoos are first come, first serve.
Fans must be legal U.S. residents 21 years of age or older to qualify. They must also sign a release to get inked.
“Tattoos hold a special meaning for my customers, they come to me to celebrate the things they love the most or to commemorate a major moment in their lives,” DJ Tambe said in a statement. “Whether that’s the first time trying the Subway Series, or simply eternal love for Subway, I’m here to make that a permanent part of their lives and something to showcase.”
Anyone who attends the block party, tattoo or not, will get one free six-inch sub. The event will also feature a DJ and dance floor, a graffiti artist creating a mural throughout the day, and other activities. Fans can also choose to show their sandwich love with a less permanent airbrush tattoo.
Earlier in July, Subway gave away one million six-inch sandwiches to celebrate their new Subway Series menu.
