Social Media Notices Johnny Depp Reactions During Amber Heard’s Emotional Testimony, Talk Of ‘Penis’
For most of Amber Heard’s testimony this week, ex-husband Johnny Depp literally kept his head down and did not react — but the few times the actor did react, social media and law commentators noticed.
Depp is suing Heard for more than $50 million over an op-ed she wrote at The Washington Post about domestic violence, which the actor claims significantly hurt his Hollywood career.
On Thursday, Executive Producer at Law&Crime Trial Network Cathy Russon noted Depp’s “strategy” while Heard took the stand.
“What do you think of the strategy of #JohnnyDepp purposely not looking, even one time, at #Amber Heard during testimony?” she wrote, captioning two images of Depp with his head down.

Later in the trial, Russon noticed a rare moment of Depp looking up at Ms. Heard while she recounted a brutal fight the pair allegedly had in Australia in 2015.
In the video clip, Depp glances up at Heard at least six times while the actress recalls the alleged fight. “I thought he was punching me,” Heard repeatedly said in-between sobbing fits.

Depp also reacted to Heard claiming the couple’s relationship worsened when she went out of town for work. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor turned to his lawyer as Heard testified, video shows.

Depp also seems to chuckle when Heard recalled the actor allegedly taking out his penis to urinate.
“Johnny took his penis out of his pants and started trying to pee, or peeing outside of the house, saying that he had more messages for me,” Heard said, eliciting a look of confusion and a laugh from Depp.

Last week, Depp and others in the courtroom broke into laughter when an attorney for Heard asked a bodyguard testifying virtually if he saw Mr. Depp’s penis.
“I think I would remember if I’d seen Mr. Depp’s penis,” bodyguard Malcolm Connolly said via Zoom.
Depp put his hand on his forehead and giggled in reaction to Connolly’s response, footage from the courtroom shows.
And lastly, Depp looked at his attorney while Heard recalled the actor allegedly penetrating her with a bottle during their time in Australia in 2015.
