Vice President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kamala Harris</a> posted a video on Tuesday showing the phone call in which she invited Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) to be her running mate — and critics had a field day with just how &#8220;fake&#8221; and &#8220;scripted&#8221; the whole scenario appeared to be.

British-Israeli Emily Damari, 28, was held hostage by Hamas terrorists for 15 months — and on Thursday, she laid into the Pulitzer Prize Board members for honoring a man who repeatedly sided with her captors in the aftermath of the horrific October 7th attacks.

I was one of 251 men, women, children, and elderly people kidnapped that day from their beds, their homes, and a music festival.&#8221;
&#8220;For almost 500 days I lived in terror. I was starved, abused, and treated like I was less than human. I watched friends suffer. I watched hope dim. And even now, after returning home, I carry that darkness with me — because my best friends, Gali and Ziv Berman are still being held in the Hamas terror tunnels,&#8221; she continued.
She then turned to address Toha and the prize he&#8217;d been awarded, adding, &#8220;So imagine my shock and pain when I saw that you awarded a Pulitzer Prize to Mosab Abu Toha. This is a man who, in January, questioned the very fact of my captivity. He posted about me on Facebook and asked, &#8216;How on earth is this girl called a hostage?&#8217; He has denied the murder of the Bibas family. He has questioned whether Agam Berger was truly a hostage.&#8221;
&#8220;These are not word games — they are outright denials of documented atrocities. You claim to honor journalism that upholds truth, democracy, and human dignity. And yet you have chosen to elevate a voice that denies truth, erases victims, and desecrates the memory of the murdered. Do you not see what this means? Mosab Abu Toha is not a courageous writer. He is the modern-day equivalent of a Holocaust denier. And by honoring him, you have joined him in the shadows of denial,&#8221; Damari concluded. &#8220;This is not a question of politics. This is a question of humanity. And today, you have failed it.&#8221;
Damari lost two fingers on her left hand when her kidnappers shot her as they dragged her out of her apartment in southern Israel, and for months in captivity the wound did not heal due to the conditions in which she was kept. She was also shot in the leg, and the only medical treatment she was given was an expired bottle of iodine.
She was released as part of a ceasefire deal in January of 2025, after which she underwent surgery to address her injuries.

Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) did her best to force feed her pre-selected narrative into FBI Director Kash Patel&#8217;s mouth during a Thursday hearing — but when Patel immediately called her out, refusing to take the bait, Murray substituted her own testimony for his.
Murray began by questioning Patel about whether or not he was &#8220;weaponizing&#8221; the FBI, prompting him to lay out a series of the bureau&#8217;s more recent cases as evidence that the men and women of the FBI were doing their jobs and doing them well.

&#8220;Well, you asked if I was weaponizing the FBI and I am not,&#8221; Patel pushed back. &#8220;I&#8217;m giving you the hard concrete examples of the men and women putting handcuffs on bad people doing harm to our children and innocent Americans. I do not see weaponization.&#8221;
&#8220;But you have placed on leave FBI employees responsible for the investigation of January 6th,&#8221; Murray asserted. &#8220;That sounds political to me.&#8221;
&#8220;I have not placed anyone on leave who has not violated their ethical obligation or their oath to the Constitution,&#8221; Patel replied.
&#8220;So &#8230; if they were investigating January 6th, you believe they were violating an ethic — obligation —&#8221; Murray tried again.
&#8220;No,&#8221; Patel said. &#8220;I think the common theme is you putting words in my mouth, and I’m not going to tolerate it, nor will the men and women of the FBI.&#8221;
Murray pressed onward: &#8220;Well, you did place on leave an analyst responsible for investigating Russia&#8217;s meddling in the 2016 election. Is that politicization? Is that retribution?&#8221;
&#8220;No. Not if she broke the law or the ethical guidelines,&#8221; Patel shot back. &#8220;I don&#8217;t know which case you&#8217;re talking about, but that&#8217;s the standard, and we will hold ourselves inwardly accountable and we will not be strayed from our mission because people think we are &#8216;politicizing&#8217; the bureau.&#8221;
&#8220;If you want to talk about someone who was attacked by a weaponized bureau, you’re looking at him. And now he’s the Director of the FBI and he&#8217;s cleaning it up,&#8221; Patel continued.
Murray, upon realizing that she was not going to be able to get Patel to say what she wanted him to, shifted gears then and testified herself.
&#8220;I would just say to everyone who&#8217;s listening that the FBI needs to be focused on its mission to keep the entire country safe,&#8221; she said, giving no evidence that the bureau, under Patel, was not doing exactly that. &#8220;It should not be weaponized for partisan political gain. Thank you.&#8221;

Former President Joe Biden claimed on Thursday that he could have once again bested President Donald Trump if he had not opted to withdraw from the 2024 presidential election in late July.
Biden joined the hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; — with former first lady Jill Biden at his side — and the conversation turned to the 2024 campaign as the cohosts asked about his decision to exit the race and whether or not he regretted dropping out.

Cohost Sara Haines praised Biden for taking the &#8220;selfless&#8221; route and stepping aside, saying that Democrats hd been shocked when former Vice President Kamala Harris had then been unable to close the deal. &#8220;It was like 2016 all over again,&#8221; she complained, and then asked Biden why he thought Harris had not been able to beat Trump.
&#8220;I wasn&#8217;t surprised, not because I didn&#8217;t think the vice president was the most qualified person to be president. She&#8217;s qualified to be President of the United States of America. I was surprised — I was surprised because they went the route of — the sexist route, the whole route,&#8221; Biden said, adding, &#8220;I&#8217;ve never seen quite a successful and consistent campaign undercutting the notion that a woman couldn&#8217;t lead the country — and a woman of mixed race.&#8221;
Biden also told Haines that he&#8217;d spoken to Harris just a day earlier, although he would not say what they discussed.

Cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Biden — whose exit came on the heels of a disastrous televised debate with President Trump in late June — whether he believed he could have won if he had remained on the ballot through the end of the campaign, and he said that he did.
Griffin noted that Trump had won all of the battleground states and had increased his support in almost every demographic, but Biden was not deterred.
&#8220;Yes, he still got less — it wasn&#8217;t a slam dunk,&#8221; Biden claimed, suggesting that because Trump won the 2024 election with fewer votes than Biden got in 2020, he would have won if he&#8217;d stayed in the race.

Yes, Joe Biden Still Thinks He Could Have Beaten Trump In 2024

Former President Joe Biden got only one question about his obvious cognitive decline when he made an appearance on Thursday&#8217;s broadcast of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; — and former first lady Jill Biden had to jump in and help him with his response.
Cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin, who typically identifies herself as a Republican despite <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-host-of-the-view-admits-to-fawning-cohosts-she-voted-kamala" target="_blank" rel="noopener">supporting</a> former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024, took the most indirect route possible to the obvious question. Rather than basing it on hours and hours of speeches and public appearance where Biden&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doocy-corners-karine-jean-pierre-who-ordered-white-house-officials-to-cover-up-bidens-decline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cognitive abilities</a> were clearly lacking, Griffin instead framed it around the numerous books that are now being written by insiders revealing what they knew and when they knew it.
&#8220;Since you left office, there have been a number of books that have come out, deeply sourced from Democratic sources that claim in your final year there was a dramatic decline in your cognitive abilities, in the final year of your presidency,&#8221; Griffin said. &#8220;What is your response to these allegations and are these sources wrong?&#8221;
&#8220;They are wrong. There&#8217;s nothing to sustain that, um, number one,&#8221; Biden began, before pivoting to give a rambling response that in no way addressed the point of Griffin&#8217;s question. &#8220;Number two, you know, think of what we were left with, we were left with a circumstance where we — uh — we had an insurrection? When I started, we — not since the Civil War.&#8221;
Biden then appeared to blame the pandemic — and one million dead Americans — on President Donald Trump, adding, &#8220;We had a circumstance where we were in a position that we — uh — well, the pandemic, because of the incompetence of the last outfit, end up over a million people dying, a million people dying. And we&#8217;re also in a situation where we found ourselves unable to deal with a lot of just basic issues and, uh, which I won&#8217;t go into here in the interest of time &#8230; and so we went to work and we got it done, and you know one of the things that, well, that —&#8221;
The former president appeared to lose his train of thought then, prompting Jill Biden to jump in and answer the question for him — and she tried to suggest that the authors of the books did not know what they were talking about.
&#8220;You know, one of the things I think is that the people who wrote those books were not in the White House with us,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;And they didn&#8217;t see how hard Joe worked every single day. I mean, he&#8217;d get up, he&#8217;d put in a full day, and then at night he&#8217;d — I&#8217;d be in bed, you know, reading my book, and he was still on the phone, reading his briefings, working with staff &#8230; I think he was a great president.&#8221;
She concluded with a jab at President Trump, saying, &#8220;If you look at things today, give me Joe Biden any time.&#8221;

Griffin pushed back lightly, noting that Biden ultimately left the 2024 presidential race after some prodding from members of his own party — including former President Barack Obama, with whom he had served as vice president for eight years.

Joe Biden Gets One Question About His Cognitive Decline. Jill Has To Help Him Answer It.

President Joe Biden&#8217;s floating pier — which was touted as a way to get humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza — resulted in the death of one American service member and injuries to 62 more, damaging $31 million worth of military equipment in the process.
A new <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/bidens-gaza-pier-injured-far-more-troops-than-previously-known-2025-05-07/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from the Pentagon Inspector General — which was published on Tuesday — revealed that far more service members had been injured than previously indicated. The report also noted the extent of the damage to military equipment despite the fact that the pier was not even operational for a full three weeks.
Biden announced his administration&#8217;s plan to build the pier during his 2024 State of the Union Address in March, and as was noted in a review published in August of 2024 by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of the Inspector General, he had ignored warnings from federal aid workers and pushed ahead with the $230 million project anyway.
Biden had <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/05/07/world-news/biden-gaza-pier-fiasco-left-62-us-forces-injured-one-dead-and-caused-31m-in-damages-report/?utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social" target="_blank" rel="noopener">promised</a> that the pier would allow for the delivery of enough food and supplies to sustain some 1.5 million Palestinian civilians for several months — but before the project was abandoned, less than one-third of that had been delivered.

Biden’s Gaza ‘Aid’ Pier Injured 62 Americans And Killed 1, A Crumbling Monument To Wasteful Spending

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy posted an update on Tuesday, sharing what he said would be his final comments on the saga that unfolded after patrons at his bar in Center City, Philadelphia, ordered bottle service and paid for a sign that said &#8220;f*** the Jews.&#8221;
Following the incident, Portnoy said that he spoke to the student who&#8217;d uploaded video of the sign to Instagram — Mohammed Adnan Khan — and initially, he&#8217;d been apologetic and tearful. Rather than ruin a college student&#8217;s life, Portnoy offered to send him to Auschwitz in the hopes of turning a hateful incident into a learning experience.
Over the next couple of days, the Barstool founder shared several updates — and ultimately revealed that he&#8217;d revoked his offer after Khan backtracked and claimed he had no connection to the antisemitic sign. By Tuesday, Khan had gone a step further.
Portnoy began his update with a post on X advertising a crowd-funding page — that he said was more fitting for a satire site like The Onion or The Babylon Bee — in which an apparent friend of Khan requested people send money to help him &#8220;stand against trial by public opinion&#8221; and support his &#8220;fight for due process and redemption.&#8221;

Portnoy then shared Khan&#8217;s video statement — which he used to promote his GiveSendGo page — in which the now-suspended Temple University student complained that Portnoy had &#8220;sensationalized&#8221; the incident and he had done nothing more than document someone else&#8217;s behavior. Khan argued that the sign &#8220;reminded people of a lot of the unjust things that Israel is doing around the world,&#8221; and for that reason he&#8217;d felt compelled to &#8220;report on it.&#8221;
Khan went on to complain that the sign was just &#8220;an edgy joke&#8221; and claimed that he was being made into a victim of cancel culture.
Portnoy was not buying it, however, and he shot back, &#8220;This dude is a flat liar. I talked to him on the phone with his buddy and they both owned up to it and cried about it. He then lawyered up after speaking with his family. His name got out because he’s a moron and uploaded &#8216;F*** the Jews&#8217; sign to his instagram before I even knew about it. He already went viral without me.&#8221;
&#8220;He spreads hate and uses the conflict in Middle East as his excuse. And did it in a bar with my company&#8217;s name on it. Now he’s trying to profit from it. I’m sure he’ll make money because there is lots of antisemitism in the world. Regardless this is the least surprising thing ever,&#8221; Portnoy continued. &#8220;He is the definition of a coward. Zero accountability for his actions. I don’t care what religion you are or even how you feel about Middle East. This was an act of pure hate and this should disgust you.&#8221;

But the drama did not end there. Portnoy followed with a video response to the GiveSendGo page for Khan — which, at the time of publication, had not even raised $1000 — and a video clip that he said was Khan throwing water on a sleeping homeless person.

Portnoy followed that with a &#8220;Team Portnoy&#8221; press release that relayed the entire saga.

His overall assessment of the situation came on Thursday, as he added, &#8220;Mo Kahn may be the greatest thing that’s ever happened for Jews to fight antisemitism in [America]. Like imagine trying to defend this guy? Whether he’s spitting on people, throwing buckets of water on homeless people, dealing drugs, running a sex cam ring or going on Nazi podcasts he’s undeniably a piece of s***.&#8221;
