Rapper Snoop Dogg has some new music coming out, only this time he’s focused on nursery rhymes and learning the alphabet.

The 50-year-old performer just launched a YouTube channel called “Doggyland — Kids Songs & Nursery Rhymes.” The content is meant to help kids learn social and emotional skills through rap, dance, and song, the New York Post reported

The publication noted that Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., partnered with the Emmy-nominated producer Claude Brooks and singer October London to create the series. Brooks already has some experience with kids’ content as he previously worked on the project “Hip Hop Harry.”

“Doggyland” will include a cast of animated dog characters singing and dancing to a slew of classic kids’ songs with a fun twist. Per the channel description, it “features a colorful cast of dogs in a vibrant world where they sing fun and educational songs that teach learning and cognitive fundamentals aimed at preschoolers and toddlers all around the world.”

The channel goes on to lay out aims for the content, saying, “Songs help promote social emotional development as well as age related cognitive development in the preschool set. We cover a wide range of engaging topics such as letters, numbers, colors, animals, good habits, hygiene, accepting others and more, along with modern remixes of classic nursery rhymes.”

The lead character is an adult mentor named Bow Wizzle (voiced by Snoop Dogg), and every character is a different color and shape “to help promote diversity and inclusion.”

In a press release, Snoop Dogg said, “As a father, grandfather and longtime youth football coach, it’s always been important to me to build positive and educational environments for all children. We wanted to bring our show to YouTube and YouTube Kids which provides free access to everyone, so all the kids can enjoy it.”

“I’ve always wanted to create a kid friendly series that lets kids be kids and is truly representative of the culture with everything from the music to the characters,” he continued. “When I started to build my team, it was only right to partner with Claude, who created the iconic series, ‘Hip Hop Harry,’ which built the blueprint to diverse kids programming, and October London, a talented singer and writer.”

There are six uploads on the channel currently and new episodes premiere every Tuesday.
