Shooting Reported At Colorado STEM School

   DailyWire.com

Several students were injured during a shooting in Highlands Ranch, Colorado on Tuesday afternoon at a school that did not have a school resource officer assigned to it.

Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said during a press conference that law enforcement believes that the two suspects who were arrested both went to STEM School Highlands Ranch and that one suspect is believed to be an adult. Spurlock added that a handgun was used during the shooting.

The Washington Times reported that the suspect appeared to hate Christians and President Donald Trump and shared far-left social media content that president former President Barack Obama.

“We know that two individuals walked into the STEM School, got deep inside the school and engaged students in two separate locations,” Spurlock said. “There were a number of students that were shot and injured, almost immediately after the first gunshots were fired.”

“I have to believe that the quick response of the officers that got inside that school helped save lives,” Spurlock added.

Denver 7 News reported that one student was killed and that “two of the victims were in serious condition at Littleton Adventist Hospital…and three had been released from the hospital. One victim was in good condition at Children’s Hospital. Two other victims were at Sky Ridge Medical Center, but their conditions were unknown.”

The Denver Post noted that STEM School Highlands Ranch “was founded in 2011 to serve grades six through nine, but gradually expanded” and is “now the seventh-largest school in the Douglas County School District.”
