Sarah Silverman Claims She Suffered ‘Survival Based Fear’ Because Of Trump’s Election

Comedian Sarah Silverman might be an outspoken opponent of, well, just about everything attendant to a conservative ideology, but she claims she considered stockpiling food and weapons last November, after Donald Trump won the presidency.

On her new show, “I Love You, America,” Silverman says that she was struck with “survival-based fear” when Hillary Clinton lost, and finally understood what drives all those rural rubes she despises to cling to their guns and religion.

“In an instant, I basically became a liberal doomsday prepper,” she said. “And for the first time, I felt an actual kinship to the far-right militia person who thought Obama would end the world.”

“It’s that feeling of fear that makes us the same,” she added.

Well, not exactly. After Obama won, conservatives set to work — a crusade that eventually won them both houses of Congress and, eight years later, the White House. The crippling fear and total lack of sanity that’s gripped outspoken Democrats post their 2016 loss has been nothing short of maniacal.
