Sanders’ Anti-Semitic Volunteer Rages Against Jews

It’s not surprising, given Bernie Sanders’ own loathing for the state of Israel, that one of his supporters should express the same hatred, but it was still a shock to one Jew who professed to the supporter that she would never support Sanders.

The Jerusalem Post’s Lahav Harkov reported:

Sanders has said he will push for elevating Palestinian rights as a U.S. priority, according to The Washington Post. He has lied about casualties in the Israel-Gaza war of 2014, blustering that Israel killed 10,000 people. He told The New York Daily News, “Anybody help me out here, because I don’t remember the figures, but my recollection is over 10,000 innocent people were killed in Gaza. Does that sound right?” When he was corrected, Sanders called Israel’s force indiscriminate, adding, “I don’t have it in my number… but I think it’s over 10,000. My understanding is that a whole lot of apartment houses were leveled. Hospitals, I think, were bombed. So yeah, I do believe and I don’t think I’m alone in believing that Israel’s force was more indiscriminate than it should have been.”

In February, Sanders admitted he was advised by the virulently anti-Israel organization J Street, as well as James Zogby, who is known for his anti-Israel sentiment. Last summer, Zogby wrote of the anti-Israel BDS movement:

These actions are not only legitimate expressions of political concern, they are also a profoundly moral response to Israel’s behavior. When confronted by: Israel’s continued defiance of international law; its theft of Palestinian lands in order to construct Jewish-only settlements and roads; and its daily displays of brutality and humiliation of captive Palestinians — the desire to disassociate from and refuse to support that behavior is the right thing to do.

“Oh, you’re ISRAEL people. I HATE all of you.”

This week, the DNC allowed Sanders to make five appointments to the DNC’s Platform Committee. Zogby was one; Congressman Keith Ellison, who hates Israel so much he was one of only eight members of Congress to vote against funding the Iron Dome missile system that protects Israel from rocket attacks, was another.

Is it any surprise that Sanders’ supporters hate Israel, too?
