Things haven’t been going well for Jeb.
Even his name at some point went from Jeb! to just Jeb and his showing in Iowa ironically punctuated that change with a dismal 2.8 percent of the vote compared to Cruz, Trump, and Rubio who all landed in the 20’s. To pour more salt in the wound, he has reportedly spent a whopping $5,200 for each vote he’s gotten so far. Yikes.
Which leads us to the video below making the rounds titled “Poor Jeb,” which poignantly sums up his journey in a way only the internet can…
In the video, Jeb reiterates that “it’s a long haul and slow and steady wins the race” over visuals of baby sea turtles struggling to make it from the beach to the ocean before they end up being dinner for the birds. Spoiler: they don’t make it.
In what has to be one of the worst campaign gimmicks of all time, Jeb carries around little turtle figurines in his pocket to give to kids on the campaign trail. Yup.
And according to the New York Post, Jeb’s awkwardness continues to be his strongest trait.
“Bush made a cringe-worthy plea Tuesday in New Hampshire to a college student who has never voted before.
“I want to be your first,” he told the student, according to Washington Post reporter Ed O’Keefe, who tweeted the awkward exchange.
The former Florida governor had been taking questions at a town hall event in Rindge, NH.”
Speaking of Jeb awkwardness, he made the internet’s day back in October when he posted a pic of himself in front of green-screen which quickly turned into viral photo-shop hilarity: click here for the highlights.
Exit thought for Trump: He doesn’t seem low-energy here…
