Rap star Kodak Black, who then-President Donald Trump sprang from prison in one of his last acts in the White House, could be facing hard time after being arrested in Florida on drug charges Friday.

The 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was pulled over in Fort Lauderdale for having allegedly illegally tinted windows and expired plates, according to the Miami Herald. Police smelled pot, and searched the rapper’s tricked-out, bulletproof Dodge Durango and found 31 Oxycodone pills and nearly $75,000 in cash, the report said.

Kapri was on probation after being handed a 10-year suspended sentence for assaulting a teen in a South Carolina hotel room, and the arrest could mean the sentence will now be imposed.

Kapri was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and trafficking oxycodone. He was taken to Broward County Jail overnight, then freed after posting $75,000 bail, according to his attorney.

Trump pardoned the rapper for his conviction for lying on a federal form about his criminal past in order to buy a gun, allowing him to leave a federal prison after half of a three-year prison sentence. His latest arrest comes ahead of his scheduled performance at Rolling Loud, a hip-hop festival scheduled for next week at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Black pleaded guilty in April 2021 to first-degree assault and battery in connection with a 2016 attack on a teenage girl in Florence, South Carolina. He had originally been charged with rape in the case and received a suspended 10-year sentence and 18 months of probation after the plea. It was not yet clear if the latest arrest could trigger the full sentence in the South Carolina case.

The girl said the rapper attacked her in his hotel room after a show, biting her on the neck and breast even after she begged him to stop, authorities said. The girl came forward after a school nurse saw her injuries.

“I apologize this happened, and I’m hopeful we can all move forward,” Kapri told the victim at his sentencing.

Kapri was also arrested for trespassing in Pompano Beach on January 1.
