On Wednesday, Kelley Paul, wife of Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, penned a column for CNN in which she described the brutal aftermath for Paul in the wake of his neighbor ramming him from behind and leaving him with six broken ribs, three displaced ribs, pleural effusion and pneumonia.
Kelley Paul started by noting, “The average person takes 20,000 breaths a day. Since November 3, my husband, Rand Paul, has not taken a single one without pain. He has not had a single night’s sleep uninterrupted by long periods of difficult breathing or excruciating coughing.”
