“Terror on the Prairie” is a movie about fighting for survival and against all odds because the American Dream is too valuable to give up on. Though the Western drama is set in the past, modern audiences will connect with the universal themes of strength, courage, and resilience in the face of evil.
The movie is The Daily Wire’s fourth feature film, and marks actress Gina Carano’s triumphant return to the silver screen after being fired from the hit “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian.” Carano got Canceled by Disney for a controversial Instagram post that questioned discrimination based on political opinions.
Afterwards, Carano joined forces with The Daily Wire, vowing to create films on her terms. Carano followed through on this promise with “Terror on the Prairie,” which will be available exclusively to Daily Wire members beginning June 14.
Carano stars as Hattie McAllister, a “tough-as-rawhide pioneer mother forced to defend herself and her children against ruthless criminals terrorizing her family while her husband is away. When her husband, played by UFC champion Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, leaves their remote homestead to buy supplies in a nearby town, it’s up to Hattie to keep their home and their children safe,” per the press release.
“The release of this movie feels like closure of a particularly painful experience in my life,” Carano said.
“Becoming Hattie McAlister allowed me to wear everything I was feeling at that time out loud, and to my surprise you can really feel it on the character more than I was aware. This is a story about a family struggling with all the elements against them and then some, but they are fighting for their lives and dreams. Maybe that is something people can relate to these days.”
The actress continued, “I’m so excited for everyone to enjoy ‘Terror,’ nothing about it feels forced, it is pure and refreshing and, more than anything, the making of this movie brings hope that, even though bad things may happen, if you never give up, there’s no amount of force that can hold you down.”

“Terror on the Prairie” will be the fourth feature film released by The Daily Wire. Previous projects include “Run Hide Fight,” “Shut In,” and “The Hyperions,” plus Matt Walsh’s recent documentary “What Is a Woman?”
Carano is a producer on the film, along with Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk of Bonfire Legend, both of whom also worked on “Shut In” and “Run Hide Fight.”
“Terror on the Prairie” begins streaming on June 14, 2022, at 9 p.m. ET at TerrorOnThePrairie.com.
