Progressive Groups Looking To Organize A March In SUPPORT Of Louis Farrakhan

A collection of progressive groups, including Black Lives Matter, the New Black Panther Party, and Rev. Sharpton’s National Action Network, are planning a demonstration in support of noted anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan after Democratic politicians and leftist leaders have come under fire for associating with the longtime Nation of Islam leader.

According to The Daily Caller, the groups have even issued a press release suggesting that it’s more important to condemn President Donald Trump and “white supremacists” than Farrakhan, who has been a noted anti-Semite for decades.

They’re also opposed to a resolution, currently moving through Congress, officially condemning Farrakhan.

“Over 100 organizational leaders will go office-to-office to deal with the GOP representatives that are leading this campaign, in specific Congressman Todd Rokita,” the statement read. “The lobbyist will visit members of the Congressional Black Caucus who are under pressure to condemn Minister Farrakhan though the Congressional Black Caucus has yet to muster enough strength to introduce a resolution condemning that he repeated, vile and foul bigoted and reckless comments by President Donald Trump.”

“We cannot allow a politically hypocritical political situation to exist whereas an openly racist president, Donald Trump is given a free pass and to spew racist venom and racist policies by a confederate based GOP; and then they have the gall to issue an official legislative condemnation of a private citizen and Black leader who is dearly beloved by the masses,” said another organizer, Malik Zulu Shabazz.

Shabazz, of course, has his own history, as The Daily Caller points out.

The Democrats — and their leftist counterparts — have opened up their own can of worms with Farrakhan. For several decades Farrakhan has skulked in the wings, influencing various members of Congress and progressive leaders, but rarely were his words recorded or publicized.

But the Women’s March, and it’s anti-Trump Resistance roots, have embraced Farrakhan in the name of “intersectionality,” which cautions that you can’t simply discard a problematic philosophy if an oppressed minority group with which you’ve declared solidarity. Unfortunately for them, that means they must embrace anti-Jewish hatred and Farrakhan’s litany of anti-LGBT and sexist commentary, in opposition to what they seem to say are their core values.

But this takes that even one step further, declaring outright support for a man who preaches the hate Democrats say they oppose.
