<p>&#8220;The View&#8221; host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/sunny-hostin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sunny Hostin</a> claimed on Thursday that the ruling protecting access to abortion drug mifepristone served to &#8220;restore a little bit of my faith in the court.&#8221;</p>
<p>Hostin, a former federal prosecutor, has routinely attacked the legitimacy of the Supreme Court and has accused mainly conservative justices of being activists.</p>

<p>&#8220;It’s nice to hear good news about the Supreme Court for a change,&#8221; cohost Joy Behar began.</p>
<p>&#8220;I think the states are still going to try and take them away. There are about 14 states where even this pill is not allowed to be used for abortion purposes, so we’re still kind of in the same situation when it comes to states rights to decide a woman’s reproductive health rights,&#8221; Hostin said, but she added that she remained hopeful.</p>
<p>&#8220;It does restore a little bit of my faith in the court because the legal standard is, do you have standing to bring a case? Can anybody bring a case in front of the Supreme Court? No. You have to prove that you have injuries resulting from it and so you’ve got a group of doctors and a group of citizens and all of these people bring this challenge to the FDA and say, we don’t want this pill.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;If these had been plaintiffs that had standing and the issue had been in front of the Supreme Court, God only knows,&#8221; she added.</p>

<p>Hostin has long said that because she considers herself to be a devout Catholic, she is personally &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/proud-roman-catholic-sunny-hostin-thanks-the-view-for-teaching-her-she-was-wrong-to-tell-other-people-not-to-abort-their-babies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pro-life</a>&#8221; and does not believe abortion is right — but she also routinely attacks Republicans for restricting access to abortion because she also believes it&#8217;s wrong to tell women that abortion is wrong.</p>
