<p>Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nancy-pelosi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nancy Pelosi</a> (D-CA) was hospitalized in Europe on Friday after the 84-year-old fell down the stairs and broke her hip.</p>
<p>Pelosi &#8220;tripped going down marble stairs at the Grand Ducal Palace and took a hard fall,&#8221; The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/13/us/politics/nancy-pelosi-hospitalized-luxembourg-falling.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.</p>
<p>A source close to the former Speaker of the House Representatives said that she fractured her hip during the fall.</p>
<p>Doctors believe that a standard operation should be sufficient to repair the damage, but they were not sure if that would be done in Europe or the U.S.</p>
<p>The incident happened as Pelosi was traveling with a bipartisan Congressional delegation in Luxembourg to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.</p>
<p>Pelosi &#8220;sustained an injury during an official engagement and was admitted to the hospital for evaluation,&#8221; a statement from her office said, adding that she was &#8220;currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals.&#8221;</p>

<p>The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/nancy-pelosi-injury-luxembourg-hospital-5f3c3514" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Pelosi tripped and fell after posing for a group photo with other lawmakers and officials who were on the trip.</p>
<p>A photo posted by the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg appeared to show the group photo that Pelosi was posing for before she fell.</p>
<p>She can be seen wearing high heels in the photo as she clutched the hand of House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX).</p>

<p>The statement added that she was &#8220;personally and officially honored&#8221; to travel with the distinguished delegation, many of whom had family members who fought in WWII.</p>
