<p>President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> finally addressed and acknowledged his seventh grandchild in a Friday night news dump exclusive with PEOPLE Magazine after four years of refusing to do so.</p>
<p>“Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward,&#8221; Biden said in an exclusive statement to <a href="https://people.com/president-biden-first-statement-granddaughter-navy-roberts-exclusive-7567196" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PEOPLE</a>.</p>
<p>Lunden is the former stripper whom Hunter impregnated and then put through a lengthy legal battle to lower his child support payments and take away the Biden family name. Throughout Biden&#8217;s presidency, he has repeatedly claimed that he only had six grandchildren, despite Navy&#8217;s existence.</p>
<p>A source told PEOPLE that the Bidens were simply following Hunter&#8217;s lead.</p>
<p id="mntl-sc-block_1-0-11" class="comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html">&#8220;You have to remember there were some fairly contentious legal proceedings between Navy’s parents happening until just a few weeks ago. As grandparents, the Bidens are following Hunter’s lead,&#8221; the anonymous source told the magazine. &#8220;They are — and have been — giving Hunter and Lunden the space and time to figure things out.&#8221;</p>
<p>Based on that, Hunter apparently told them to pretend his daughter does not exist.</p>
<p>Of course, it seems more likely that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/even-more-evidence-legacy-media-is-getting-ready-to-dump-joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Legacy Media&#8217;s newfound criticism</a> of Biden is what forced the president to change his tune.</p>
<p>For example, New York Times opinion columnist Maureen Dowd wrote, &#8220;The president’s cold shoulder — and heart — is counter to every message he has sent for decades, and it’s out of sync with the America he wants to continue to lead.&#8221;</p>
<p>In other words, he was exposed as a fraud. This was already obvious to everybody except those in Legacy Media and their readers — but better late than never.</p>

<p>Biden maintains that his decision to pretend she never existed was not political.</p>
<p id="mntl-sc-block_1-0-6" class="comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html">&#8220;This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,&#8221; Biden said. &#8220;Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”</p>
<p>Just not the family name, apparently.</p>
<p>They finally recognized their youngest granddaughter in an online article at 5:00 p.m. ET on a summer Friday night right before Joe <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-to-take-a-break-from-doing-nothing-hits-the-beach-for-10-days" target="_blank" rel="noopener">heads to the beach</a>?  Classy bunch, those Bidens.</p>
