Prince Harry shocked royal fans with some of the revelations in his tell-all memoir, “Spare,” including all the sordid details of his first sexual encounter.
Now the “older woman” he claimed was responsible for taking his virginity at the age of 17 has come forward, saying she’d prefer the hunt for her identity to end.
The Duke of Sussex described having sex with the unnamed woman in a field behind a pub, saying she loved horses and treated Harry like a “young stallion.” He called it an “inglorious episode” that ended with her smacking his behind.
Sasha Walpole was a royal groom at King Charles’ home when she had sex with young Prince Harry, she said while telling her story, per The Daily Beast. She is now 40 years old, making her two years older than Harry.
“At first I thought I could hide and that it would blow over. But as the names of different women, some of whom I know, became public I realized that to make the speculation stop, I needed to tell the truth,” she explained.
“At least now I can tell my story, in my words, with the correct context and detail, and without panicking. I can stop looking over my shoulder. I wanted to take control of the situation before it took control of me … I would never have spoken out if Harry hadn’t. I’m not that sort of person. If I was going to talk about it, I could have done so a long time ago. He has brought it to my door by writing about it,” Walpole said.
“I don’t mind him saying that because it isn’t really very glorious, is it? We were drunk and having sex in a field. It’s his sense of humor. [We were part of] a massive horse scene, and the slap happened in a horsey context, the book is a funny interpretation of that,” she went on.
“His description is accurate — the real shock when I saw what he’d written was how true it was. That’s what took me back the most. I’m not offended. Afterwards I did grab his bum and give him a slap. I gave him a little squeeze as well. He had a peachy bum.”
Walpole described how she hung out with Prince Harry in those days, and they were friends. She said their sexual encounter wasn’t a big deal and that she didn’t realize he was a virgin at the time.
“It was instant, fiery, wham bam, between two friends. It was sparky because we shouldn’t have been doing it. He wasn’t ‘Prince Harry’ to me, this was Harry, my friend, and the situation had got a little bit out of control. It felt naughty, I suppose, in the sense that it shouldn’t be happening,” she explained, per The Daily Mail.
“We didn’t set out to do it – it wasn’t premeditated and I didn’t know he was a virgin. There were no virgin vibes – he seemed to know what he was doing. It was quick, wild, exciting. We were both drunk. It wouldn’t have happened if we weren’t,” Walpole went on.
She also explains how they later “drifted apart,” and that she never imagined being in a relationship with him. “I didn’t mind. No regrets,” she said of what happened between them.
